Hey there i have a
Yes, you can get the fog out. You have lost a gas seal that was there. If you are just talking about the eye lens only. You will have to force gas back into the lens. One way will be to find a very good plastic bottle, one that can withstand some pressure. Modify the cap to accept a fitting for a Paint ball gun propellant gas cylinder. Some Hobbyist use Nitrous Oxide, some use Carbon Dioxide, ether one will work,,, straight Nitrogen would work best. Put your lens in the bottle and pressurize the lens. You may have to heat it a bit with a hair drier first. Leave it in the bottle for 2 - 3 days. Monitor the pressure and keep the bottle in a positive, ( 5 - 10Lbs). If you do remove the lens only, you will have to re-pressurize the entire scope to keep it from fogging up at some later date. Use a large clear plastic bag some of the bigger ziplocks work great. Put the whole scope in the bag, put a bit of Vaseline on the lens threads, (after using a hair drier to heat the tube a bit, do not blow air down the tube) and pressurize the bag, then screw the lens back on to the scope while it is inside the bag, This will trap some inert gas inside the tube and also pressurize the scope above outside pressure so moisture can not get back inside. Hope this helps FixYa up.

Jenoptem alignment
Unfortunately if they are out of alignment you need to take them to a service center. It can't really be fixed at home without a device known as a collimator. Binoculars can fall out of collimation if they have been knocked or dropped. Jenoptems were made by the defunct East German Carl Zeiss Jena. Zeiss was split in two after WW2 with Jena being on the east. The current Zeiss firm is the West German company. Zeiss Jena ceased to be after the fall of the Berlin Wall. It is unlikely that the current firm would fix these for you. If they did the price would be greater than several pairs of Jenoptems.
Before you do take them check to see if they have a seven digit serial number. If it is six digits they are fake Jenoptems. There were many fake Jenoptems sold in the eighties by UK dealers. There is even a myth that they were made under licence in Japan. A myth is all that information is. There is no documentation to substantiate this and was probably spread by sellers trying to legitimise an inferior product.

Hi Gsimpefw,
I would suggest you to have a check for dry eye in the left.
It could also be dust particles gathering in your left lens as a result of you sleeping on your left side.
Let me know in case this helps ..:)
