The model number is probably WFW6620HC0. The "LOC" may mean that you have set the control lock by pressing and holding the extra rinse button on the control panel for three+ seconds. Try holding the button again. If that doesn't work, look on the control panel for the Control Lock label. It will be in a small font below a button or in the middle a line between two buttons that you need to press and hold simultaneously for 3+ seconds. (Note: if you press and hold for too long, the lock will toggle off and back on. A skeleton key symbol may also be displayed on the LCD panel when this lock is enabled.)

The manual for the WFW6620HC0 is available from Whirlpool on their support site: https://www.whirlpool.com/services/manuals.html . The current link to the manual is https://www.whirlpool.com/content/dam/global/documents/201809/use-and-care-w11156985-revA.pdf .

I hope this helps. The control lock feature is useful when you are cleaning the surface of the washer and to keep small children from starting a wash cycle with a pet or sibling in the machine.

There are a number of possibilities here;

you are in a hard water area and that is deposited calcium. Use Calgon or some type of water softener.

You are using washing powder instead of HE (high efficiency) liquid.

You are using a cold wash with powder when you need to use warm water.

The washing machine needs descaling. The white is calcium from the heater element and tank.

This is an error on the motor. Check the motor brushes, they could be worn out.

Could it be SD which is on the link below
If it is the problem could be to much or not the right type washing detergent.
When it keeps filling it could be trying to drain and add water at the same time to remove some detergent.

The manual is here. I searched for the specifications and none are available for that machine. A Whirlpool Front loader or Top Loader will be comparable at around 3.0 to 3.2 cubic feet.

Continuity means there is a connection. A short is an unregulated connection. It's likely the motor has shorted out most of its field coils, and that's blowing out your CCU.
