If the fan motor has failed it should be possible to replace it but first it is best to know the motor has failed rather than the supply (timer, wiring, etc.)...

yes all modern fridges are frost free.They introduced the heater element automatic defrost system.which is controlled by the defroster timer motor,in anyones lingo more things to go wrong,hope this helps.

I have a Westinghouse upright freezer FJ383M-R. The red light was on bright and the top half of freezer was not working. Turns out it was a switch that turns the defrost cycle on was faulty. Serveman replaced borken part. Now it is fine. Was much cheaper than replacing freezer.

clean drain and if have a pan under unit and no deodorizer in unit

1. Make sure the refrigerator is unplugged.
2. Place a shoe box beneath the socket to catch any falling pieces.
3. Wear safety gloves.
4. Use pliers to gently turn the bulb base counterclockwise to remove it.
5. With care, place a new light bulb in the socket.
