Edited spelling of Vivitar and put in the right category. It sounds like it has let water in, or if not used in water, the switch is faulty. did you check that the charger is producing power? 4K is not a selectable option on the camera. The specs say that it is 4K, so anything that you take video of will be 4K. The issue is whether or not your display device can handle 4K.

I don't understand what shutter button is you mentioned here, if you mean the snap button use a little contact cleaning liquid around it.

Yes you can, all you need is a USB to AV input adapter cable and you should be good to go.

It depends on the format of the recording. If its a digital recording there is a freeware software package called DVdate I have used this a number of times.

I am sorry I am unable to locate one for the DVR530 but I was able to get one for the DVR550 which (I believe) is the same thing with less zoom and/or memory. It's worth a download, CLICK HERE
