What is P2716 code for a 2006 Toyota Corolla mean?
There is currently a recall going on for this problem. You can likely get your money back on the prior repairs as well. See this link
http://www.toyota.com/recall/corolla-matrix.html. On the left-hand side, you can click to take you to put in your VIN and see if your vehicle is included. My 2007 vehicle IS included, and I just had the check engine light come on and have been experiencing rough shifting for about 6 months. When the light came on yesterday, it was extremely rough jerky shifting. The light went off today. Took it to Autozone and got same code P2716. Toyota has assigned me a case number, but I won't get a call back until Monday or by close of biz on Tuesday. This problem can cause your car to not start, or to shut down while driving. YIKES! The person I talked to at Toyota acted a little too nonchalant about the whole deal. Telling me to just wait for the call that I will get. She said most dealers would not have the part needed to fix this. According to what I have read. That is the reason why Toyota is not sending out the notification letters to the affected parties until mid-September. Check out all the info and good luck. I am a little bit p.o'd about this right now. - Natalie

Battery drain
Since you have replaced the battery, the next step is to make sure the alternator is charging the battery, and to look for a power drain. When the car is off, someone would remove the battery cable and using a test light as a jumper pull all of the fuses and disconnect the main wiring until the light goes off. That circuit would be tested for a short or a component not turned off.
Where is the thermostat for 1995 toyota camry v6
the thermostat is located driver's side of the vehicle. Follow the upper radiator hose to its end to a water outlet housing. the thermostat is in the outlet. take off the air flter lid and hose and it is easier to get to. take the hose off and the metal line to the housing. the other part of the housing is holding the thermostat. it is held with two 10 mm bolts. good luck.

Can i change the distributor on my 2004 toyota hiace, from an electric one to a points one
- Converting the electronic distributor of a 2004 Toyota HiAce to a points-based one is technically feasible but not advisable due to complex modifications and compatibility issues.
- Electronic distributors provide more precise ignition timing, better engine performance, fuel efficiency, and emissions compared to points-based systems.
- Electronic distributors are generally maintenance-free, while points-based systems require regular maintenance and adjustments.
- Finding a points-based distributor compatible with the specific 2004 HiAce engine may be challenging and costly.
- Downgrading the HiAce's electronic distributor to a points-based system is not recommended.
- If encountering issues with the electronic distributor, seek advice from a qualified mechanic for proper diagnosis and repair.
- Alternatives include repairing the existing electronic distributor if the issue is minor or replacing it with a compatible aftermarket unit designed for the HiAce engine if complete replacement is necessary.
- Modifying critical components like the ignition system can impact the safety and reliability of the vehicle, so always consult a qualified mechanic for any modifications or repairs.
