Light will not come on when you walk into the
To have your lights come on automatically when you walk into an open garage you must START with the lights ON. To turn the feature on, turn the lights on manually with the wall switch, then press and hold the LIGHT button for about 10 seconds until the motor unit light bulbs flash.
Now, if the light bulbs are on, manually turn them out and then walk out through the open door. The light bulbs should come on.
To disable this feature, start with the light bulbs OFF and everything else is the same.
Liftmaster garage door intermittent power loss
I had the same problem. Although it appeared to be the logic board, on mine it actually was the connectors between the logic board and the power supply board.
There are 2 connections on the logic board. One white connector with wires going to the main unit, and another set of connectors that plug directly into the smaller circuit board that holds the step-down transformer (120vac - 22vac). These pins were not making good connection between the boards. I simply bent the pins slightly so they would make better contact on the logic board and have not had a problem since. This must be a weak point on these door openers. Purchasing a new logic board would work too, as the connectors are newer and tighter.
Garage door opens by itself
From Chamberlain's website:
There are a few different things that can cause this type of problem.
- Look
at the LED light next to the SMART/LEARN button on the motor unit. If
you are facing the garage door, the SMART/LEARN button is located on
the rear end or right hand side panel of the motor unit. You may need
to remove a light lens cover in order to see it. This button is either
purple, red/orange, green, yellow, grey, or white in color. If the
light is flashing rapidly this means you have a stuck button on one of
your remote controls. Take the batteries out of each remote control.
When you remove the batteries from the bad remote, the light will stop
flashing. This remote needs to be replaced.
- If one of your
neighbor's remote controls is inadvertently programmed into your
receiver, your door will open when their remote is activated. If this
happens you will need to clear out your receiver and reprogram your
remote controls:
- Press and hold the LEARN button for six seconds, or until you see the small LED light near the button turn itself off.
- If
the above steps have been followed and the symptoms continue, there may
be an electronic short in either the wall control button or the
receiver logic board. In this case, remove the wall control wires from
terminals one and two (or red and white) on the motor unit. Should the
symptoms persist after the wires are removed, replace the receiver
logic board. If the symptoms stop with the wall control wires removed
from the motor unit, replace the wall control button, and the wires
leading to the wall control button.

LIGHTS DON'T WORK PROPERLY.. THEY
Unplug the opener and remove the bulb. Use a small screwdriver and pull out on the center contact of the light socket. Replace the bulb and plug the opener in.
How to switch back to automatic after manually close the garage d
mikey-moore's advice helped me figure out what to do but it's not exactly what I had to do. Manually open the garage door all the way. Then hit the automatic button you normally would use to open and close your garage door. The bracket slides back and locks into place. Hit the automatic button again and the garage door should automatically close.
Remotes don't work (3)
Did you inadvertantly hit the "vacation lock" button on the Mounted push button? This will cause the remotes not to work. Try hitting the button again, and then see if the blinking goes to solid green.
Good Luck
