3. Go to the
Learn Button on your garage door opener. The button is usually next
to the area where the floppy antenna is connected to the motor head.
With Genie it is most often behind the light lens, and an indicator
light flashes red when pressed. With Sears or Liftmaster
(Chamberlain) it is near, or part of, the terminal screw board, and
is a red, green or purple square button with a green, amber or
purple indicator light. Press this learn button momentarily. The
indicator light will turn on and blink if Genie or otherwise stay
lit. For Genie systems, go back to the in-car transmitter button you
programmed and press this button 3 or 4 times, or until the door
starts moving. This should set your in-car transmitter to your
garage door opener. For Liftmaster, Sears, or Linear Megacode press
and hold the in-car button you programmed until the garage opener
light flashes. Your in-car is now programmed to operate your door.

Garage light turns on without disturbance.
Hello,
Most likely the unit has a sensor that activates the light when you walk around or open the door.
if no one is in the room it should go off in 5 minutes, but if someone goes back in there to check it goes back on again.
Under the light cover there should be a switch where you can disable it or make it less sensitive.

Look at the LED light next to the
SMART/LEARN button on rear of the motor unit. You may need to remove
a light lens cover in order to see it. If the light is flashing
rapidly this means you have a stuck button on one of your remote
controls. Take the batteries out of each remote control. When you
remove the batteries from the bad remote, the light will stop
flashing. This remote needs to be replaced.
If one of your neighbors remote
controls is inadvertently programmed into your receiver, you door
will open when their remote is activated. If this happens you will
need to clear out your receiver and reprogram your remote controls.
Press and hold the smart/learn button for 6 seconds or until you see
the small LED light near the button turn itself off. If the above
steps have been followed and the symptoms continue, there may be an
electronic short in either the wall control button or the receiver
logic board. In this case, remove the wall control wires from
terminals 1 and 2 on the motor unit. Should the symptoms persist
after the wires are removed, replace the receiver logic board. If the
symptoms stop with the wall control wires removed from the motor
unit, replace the wall control button, and the wires leading to the
wall control button.

You may not have had the motor shaft pushed all the way back when you tightened the coupler after replacing the worm gear. Loosen the coupler up and from the front of the motor (opposite end in which the coupler is on) push the shaft back as far as it will go. Hold it there while you tighten the coupler back up and then try it.

The most likely problem here is that your wall control is bad. I would disconnect the 2 wires going to it and I think you will find your remote works. Replace the wall control.
Garage Door
Are the sensor lights located on each side of the garage door opening? Have you checked to see if they are in alignment with each other? Also check to see that any wire from the sensors are disconnected on the motor or at the sensor itself. Good Luck! Countrycurt0
