Parts
I found a good picture on a site and figured out what to do. I used it last night and it works really well. Great purchase and wish I had been using it long before now.
Thanks.
Ican not remove the the basket for cleaning is to
You cannot get the basket our for cleaning. Unfortunately there are no instructions or troubleshooting or anything on the manufacturer's website for fixing this..Here's the problem...There are 3 little captured balls on the basket that engage into holes into the juicer to hold it into place when you load it. The problem is that over time - the balls get juice in them. Then you store the thing with the basket locked into the juicer. Then from sitting in your cupboard - the juice dries and the balls are stuck. When they get very sticky they do not float in their cavity they are stuck. Then after you juice the next time - you cannot get basket off. basket is stuck and you will destroy the juicer if you try to pry it out with excessive force. If you have this problem and you are lucky enough to be reading this - I have figured out the fix on my own...You need to fill up a large tupperware, rubbermaid, whatever - bowl about 3 inches deep with hot water. Then take the juicer with the clear cover off and flip it upside down and into the hot water. Make sure the water is covering the entire basket area, but not so deep it goes into the motor area. I let it soak for about 3 hours, but I don't think you will need to do it for that long. When I took it out of the water I was able to pry the basket out with very little force. This is when I discovered this flawed design with the balls.I used it probably for a year or so about 40 or 50 times without this issue, but let it sit for about 4 months - which is why I believe it caused these balls with juice in them to get so frozen I couldn't remove it.Good luck. It worked for me.. this should work for you!
No power at all
1.Possible failure off the power cord,
2.the noncontacting of the selecctor switch
3. the burnout or failure of the motor
Make sure that if there is trip switch it had not cut off, if so reset it , can be at the backside.
Do not know how to remove basket
(1) Remove the food plunger and top cover; (2) unscrew the 3 screws from the blade/cutter plate and lift it off its base; (3) Unscrew the plastic base COUNTERWISE and lift it off of the center spindle; (4) Now you can remove the basket and juice bowl for cleaning.
To reassemble, reverse the process.
I lost one of the four round rubber
go to home depot look in section for stuff to protect floors from furniture scratches, in that section you will find little stick on rubber discs or felt or cork if they are too big just trim them down. or get small rubber faucet washer and hot glue it or supper glue it to spot where foot is missing
Salton LM8 Lemonader
I have the Salton LM8 which a "friend" just gave me. However,
there is no Pitcher (P/N 30808). I DO, however, have the P/N
30805 Juice Extractor. Do you want me to buy the Pitcher from you
or do you want to buy the juice extractor from me? I called the
company and they said that this model has been discontinued.
1-800-233-9054. You can call the number yourself and
verify. Then, tell me what you would like to do.
