My ryobi bp42 starts and runs good but when I stop for a few minutes it want start . I come back the next time it will start and run it I keep gas in it and don't stop it it jus keeps running fine

Do you prime the engine when you want to restart it? If so you may be adding too much fuel and flooding it out. Try restarting it without adding more fuel. If you are not priming the engine, then add a pump or two and see if that helps. If it does not start, pull the plug to see if it is wet. If it is, then there is too much gas.

Ryobi 139cc lawnmower advance/retard settings ?

None that I know of. If you're having problems with hard to start and backfire, I believe this is an overhead valve engine so likely it needs the typical 100 hr valve lash adjustment. I tried locating schedule for this engine but gave up.

My ryobi 4618 starts then dies hard to start when it eventually started its almost full throttle

Sounds as if you have crankcase air leak, check carb. Gasket and tightness. Also check crankcase cover and gasket.

Where are the adjustment screws on the ryobi c430 carb

Hi there are no adjustment screws it is set up as solid state what happens with these diaphragm carbs is if there is any fuel left in the tool when stored the fuel expands and shrinks in cold weather and stretches the diaphragm making the machine useless if it was the older machine i have a carb kit for it but as your machine is still sort of new there is no carb kit for it here is a link to the carb you need https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/321780497527

I have a Ryobi RY3716 chainsaw. Runs great and cuts great, but it isn't oiling the chain. The oil adjusting screw is spinning in both directions. How do I fix this problem?

The oil pump is a fairly simple unit, to access the drive gear and pump you first need to remove the clutch and sprocket ( the clutch is spun onto the crank with a l/h thread) check the condition of the drive gear pinion and the condition of the pump gear, with the pump removed you will find the pick up pipe from the oil tank, on the end is a filter, so make sure this is clean.

I have a RYOBI 18V Li-Ion Cordless String Trimmer/Edger. I bought about 10 months ago. The mechanism that you step on to swivel the head from Trimmer to edger does not work any more. is it fixable?

Hi there, Post a video or pictures. Its mechanical so few things could result in it not working. Is something obstructing it physically from moving within its normal operating range? Did something break or become missing from the unit? and lastly is dirt creating friction lock?good luckoh and ANYTHING that was man made can be fix or rebuilt the question is usually how cost effective is it gonna be.

Replaced carb on my ryobi weed eater still does the same thing starts but will not stay running

Most common problem with weed eaters is the small fuel line breaks off inside of fuel tank usually flush with top of fuel tank - check to see if fuel line is still connected to weighted fuel filter inside of tank - replace if necessary. If fuel line is intact then adjust High speed adjusting screw 1/16 counter clockwise to allow a richer mixture - special tool may be needed to adjust - available on ebay. Ryobi line trimmer plt3043a starts idles but dies when i attempt to increase speed

May I suggest checking along the fuel line and its attachments for a very minor air leak. The minute it sucks air it will stop. Check any rubber washers or O rings too.
