Its actually the opposite of flooding. Its lean. Adjust carb or rebuild carb.

May I suggest checking along the fuel line and its attachments for a very minor air leak. The minute it sucks air it will stop. Check any rubber washers or O rings too.

That number is not the model number for the trimmer, which always starts with RY. It is the number for the "bump head assembly" which is considered an accessory. They made 3 for this application as follows:
  • Bump Head Assembly, RLT1000, RLT900, RLT1004K
Once you determine your correct trimmer model number you can go to the link below and find your manual. Hope this helps.

You adjust the screw by the throttle lever. Turn clockwise for faster idle counter for slower.

May be the transmission but they charge a small fortune for a new one. Go to lawnmower repair place and look for a junked unit with a good tranny. Replacement is not hard.

Most common for a unit that has been setting with fuel in the carburetor to have varnish around the inlet needle, so that it is sticking and not turning off the incoming fuel. Suggest you disassemble and clean the carburetor, and replace any damaged parts.

I would recommend taking it to your local Ace Hardware where the know how to do most things. You can always look in the Owner's manual that should be available on the Ryobi web site.

Got the same problem. narrowed it down to the tension spring in the brake handle you can buy then for around £4 of the internet. as yet i haven't figured out how to replace it yet.

You need to replace spring in pull starter probably. Take you time and be careful or you'll have a lot of spring springing around :>)

If that's the part number, type it into both Amazon and eBay you should get a couple of vendors that have stock.
