The switch would need to be replaced as they are not repairable. I would find the part number and using Google search by the part number for someone that may have one for sale. Not much else I can do to help you as I can't get info on non USA tools and I am a DeWalt/B&D dealer.

try turning the bit by hand a little while just pushing the bit in. On those you don't use the collar to install. You also might want to try and putting a SMALL amount of grease on the shank and retrying. Let me know if you still need help

Will need more information: make, model, etc. A corded drill motor can be AC or DC. It can be variable speed on not. An AC motor can be reversed by changing the magnetic polarity of the start winding (switching the two start winding wires). This type of wiring in not usually variable speed. A DC motor is reversed by changing the electrical polarity of the primary motor leads. Usually these type of devices have a rectifier circuit to produce DC voltage and use a PWM signal to develop variable speed.

They are probably cheap Chinesium copies re-badged. Probably cheaper to purchase a complete drill in the box than purchase a replacement battery.

Possibilities: Grit or dirt has jammed the space inside, where the spring is. If it overheated, plastic may have melted / warped, causing a jam. Spring could have shifted out of its bed, also jamming the works. Try: Tap the top with a piece of wood or soft mallet. Use a heat-gun on LOW setting or at distance to warm the collar. Alternately, drill needs strip-down to remove and access the spring-loaded chuck.

Bad battery, I have had similar issues with rechargable batteries for tools. Replace them.
