cut the pole off at ground level and fill the hole left

open the chuck all the way,oil it ,and close it and do that over and over.

The inverter isn't putting up enough power to drive the metabo. You may be able to give it a "running start" by rotating the blade along a board while pulling the trigger. This isn't a good practice, however, as the board or the saw could slip, so be doubly careful if you try something like this. Your best choice would be to get a bigger inverter.
