This is what it looks like. The only unusual thing is the funny L-Shaped connector and the long length of bare cable which looks like the outer sleeve is held by the oval piece. If you have that oval piece is is an easy replacement. it is a 2 stroke engine, only oil should be mixed in gasoline.

My connecting nut was broken to the extent the threads were shattered. I cut off the rest of the plastic nut with an oscillating tool. Used the same tool to extend the slits on the plastic male piece then used a 1 3/4" E-Z hose Clamp from the auto store to squeeze the slotted piece. Works great and with the E-Z handle on the clamp it's easy to adjust the pole length. Cost was less than $5. May have to use a pair of pliers to turn the E-Z tight enough. Will attempt to load a picture.

An impulse line from the crankcase pressurizes the oil tank to force oil to the chain. On the bottom of this line in the oil tank is duck (one way) valve. I think it has failed (open) and you are sucking bar oil into the crankcase. Loosen the oil cap before putting her to bed to help stop the bar oil from weeping. Key word Help. LOL HTH
