Where to find batteries for relic watches?
Relic watches use common internal movements and common batteries. They can be found at most drugstores, radioshack and jewelry stores. The trick is getting the back off without damage. Best bet, jewelry store.

I have Relic VX3J 3 Eye - stopped working after 2 years.
If turning the adjustment bead does not result in a clicking then it is likely quartz. I am presuming it did not require winding. So if it clicks and comes back to life it is automatic (just wear it to charge it) if not then it is likely quartz. Most automatic watches can also be manually wound to charge. This is better for the movement when it is fully unwound, 10 full turns to be on the cautious side from flat. It is unlikely you can overwind good quality modern watches as they have a clutch to prevent over winding. cheaper watches may or may not have this feature.
