My Pulsar solar powered watch
Hello, and thanks for using FixYa.
unfortunately it is very difficult to identify the watch based on those details. Just open the back cover and see what battery is inside, often its a very small battery that costs a few dollars.
Can't get the back on
Take it to the nearest Batteries Plus store, they do a great job. They changed my bulova watch in less than 2 mins. Even offered me a lifetime warranty with it. Great service.
The stop watch arm stops
Sounds like the reset gear is off by a tooth or two, and will have to be reset, which means servicing.
Take it into a local watch repair shop and see what they can do. If they can't help, contact Pulsar support, and they will provide a nearby authorized repair facility. Since they don't have a web support site, refer to the literature that came with the unit.
Good luck, and hope this helps.
I have a pulsar watch,
The movement for this watch is obsolete so I cannot find a spec sheet for it. From memory I think it is a 371 (SR920). If you can give me the exact measurements of the area the battery slots into (DEPTH and DIAMETER) (in milimeters) then I can tell you exactly which battery.

Remove links
Wrap the watch band around your wrist to determine how many links need to be removed for the watch to fit properly.
2
Place the watch face-down on a flat surface.
3
Look on the back of the watch band. You will find an arrow that indicates which direction you should push the pins to remove the links.
Find the point at which the extra links need to be removed for your watch to fit your wrist. Using a 1 mm flathead screwdriver (or the edge of one side of a pair of tweezers), push the pins in the direction indicated by the arrows.
Finish removing the pins with your pliers.
Keep the extra links in case you ever need extra room on your watch band.

How do I remove links?
You will need a very small screwdriver.
Turn the watch on its side. Firmly grasp the bracelet in the area of the link you wish to remove. Insert the 1-mm screwdriver tip into the slot on the screw head. While applying gentel downward pressure on the screwdriver, turn the screwdriver counter clockwise to loosen the screw. Continue to turn in a counter clockwise motion until you can feel that the screw is completely free turing.
Step 2.
Grasp the end of the screw with the tip of a pair of tweezers and remove the screw from the link. Set the screw in a safe place for reassembly.
Step 3.
Once the screw is removed, the link will come apart. Repeat this for as many links as necessary. If removing an uneven number of links, remove the greater amount of links from the 6:00 side.
I have an older pulsar

Watch #w860 How do I
Is this a Pulsar Watch as indicated? IF not what brand of watch do you have, I am not seeing anything about an enlarge display on a Pulsar 860...
Please let me know, just reply to my answer here and I can definitely help.
Thanks,
Tim
For lack of a better
Everything other than the battery is fine. Please replace the battery as it may have outlived its life. The battery is not holding the required charge.
Pulsar capacitor will not hold
There are many sellers offering capaciter kits on ebay. However, these can be quite difficult to fit especially if you have never done it before. I recommend using your local qualified watchmaker to fit it. Seiko (the company behind Pulsar and Lorus) have made Lithium-Ion upgrade kits for many of their models so the upgrade should be beneficial. A good watchmaker should be able to fit it for you within 10 minutes (depending on how busy they are).
Fix date n month on wrist watch
mcdevito75 here The stem has 2 positions, we all know the 1 to pull the stem out and set the time, day, date. try this, first go thru the watches 24 hour cycle to get the month you need, now slip a fingernail just under the stem (crown) and gently lift to it"s first position, it may take a few times to get used to, when you have it turn the crown (stem) to change the date easily, change the date to 1 date before the date you want, now go thru the watches 24 hour cycle to get to the date you need. Now the watch is set and will change on time at around mid--nite.
I've lost the owner's instructions
Unscrew the crown (the main knob on the center right side of the watch casing), wait until the second hand is at the 12 o'clock position, and pull the crown knob up so that it clicks once.
2
Press the button below the crown knob repeatedly until the hands of the alarm dial point to the time within the next 12 hours that you want the alarm to ring. Pressing the button once will move the alarm one minute forward. Pressing and holding the button will move the alarm forward quickly.
3
Pull the crown knob one click further out and turn to adjust the main hands to the correct time, to take into account the time you took to set the alarm.
4
Push the crown knob two clicks back into its normal position, and screw it into place until it locks.
