The screen is locked at the word android at start up
1. Try holding down the volume increase button and then hold down the power button until the tablet starts.
2. Look for a very small hole on the side of the tablet, usually near one or more of the input jacks, that you can put a paper clip in to push a reset button. If you have one of these (Check the manual too), try a hard reset by holding down the button under the paper clip hole and then the power button until the Android screen appears.
3. If the two steps above don't work, you will have to try and re-flash your Android bios to install a fresh operating system. Look at the instructions at

Downloading and viewing certain documents
I have found that in windows 8 and above that the best thing to do is download and save the file you want to view. Then open it on your computer. Make sure you have a good off reader as well as the included software as both can work. I recommend Adobe for the reader, but there are other options out there.
Proscan tablet wont download
Check your wifi card at a site where you are sure there is a good connetivity. If works, it's your connections. If you have problem, it's your wireless card
My keyboard will not work on proscan tablet
Is it a Bluetooth or USB keyboard? If you are talking about a Bluetooth keyboard, it has to be 'paired' with your tablet, a procedure that should be explained in your user manual. If it is a USB keyboard, try going into Settings and look for the Input Device section and see if you have to enable a USB keyboard. Many tablets are not capable of using a USB keyboard, by the way.

The paperclip is used to activate the reset button in this small hole; You will hear and feel a click of the inside button, in less than 15mm of insertion. Do not force unduly!
1. Insert paperclip, until you hear the click of the button. Keep paperclip inserted, and press and hold the black power button.
2. In about 10 seconds the blue PROSCAN screen will appear. Continue to keep black power button held, and release paperclip.
3. A few seconds later you will see an Android 'guy' lying on his back with belly open, and a red triangle (with !) symbol hovering above his belly. Release power button. This means we are on the verge of being able to break things. Note that after a minute or so, if no further action is taken, the tablet will shut down, and then be restarted normally.
4. Press and hold power button. Insert and remove paperclip. You will see a screen titled Android system recovery. (Note that repeated insertion of the paper clip will alternate the display of the Recovery menu). Release power button.
5. Use paperclip to scroll down the list of options. To reset the tablet, selectwipe data/factory reset. Press power button to make the selection. (If you go past the desired option, keep on clicking, as the selection will scroll back to the top once at the bottom).
6. Once reset has been selected, you are now at the final chance to back out or commit. All the menu items, except for one are labeled No. To commit to the reset, select Yes - delete all user data and then press power button.......FOUND ON ZOLYGON.COM
Cant opendownloadedfiles onproscanplt8816k tablet
The files maybe in a ZIP file and if so you will need to unzip the file before you can work with it. The software you got with the scanner should have the files on it to unzip the files after downloading them, just double click the file and follow the instructions. Hope this helps.

My tablet wont turn on
Check your charger. Best at some repair shop where they have an electronic tester. If charger is ok, check battery
