if it is a submersible well pump it could be crack in your line leading to the bottom of your commercial welcome and called it to leak water and still feel pressured

if it is a submersible well pump it could have a crack in the line leading to the summer double well pump in the ground it will cause it to leak but the tank will still be build up pressure

Depends on your application. If you are using it to provide water to a residence or other on/off use, you need a pressure tank and a pressure switch to control it. If you are filling a open air tank, no pressure tank needed. If you are just pumping water out of a well and directly to an ditch type irrigation system no tank needed.

You may experience a little pressure loss, but if the catridge fliter housing has a 1 1/2 input you should be fine.

I am sorry, but if you don't know enough to know how to wire a 3 phase pump, maybe you shouldn't. You MUST use a starter of the correct size. The pump should either have a wiring diagram on it near the nameplate or inside the wiring cover at the rear of the pump. You really should have an electrician do this as the specific wiring depends on the motor brand that is on the pump. I have installed 3 Pentair pumps, all the same "item #, and they all were wired a little differently.

you may have a crack in the pot housing, a leaking seal if the water is coming out under the motor( be very careful if so, shock hazard), or the drain plug at the bottom of the pot may be loose or broken. If you can isolate it to the strainer pot, then you may be able to replace just that. A leaking seal is tougher.

I would suspect either you have a short somewhere or your circuit breaker may need replacing. Talk to a well company for possibilities.

There may be a pressure setting on your outfit but My feeling is -- your problem will be low pressure on your water line. Most pressure settings is to keep from having too much pressure on what your running. For instance our city water pressure is 70 lbs but in order to keep my furnace boiler system at 16 lbs I have to install a pressure reducer.

I think it's got air in it - that's what cavitation sounds like. Is the pickup gathering some air? Do you have an air bleeder near it someplace, or a valve you can use to bleed air out of it?

Have you backwashed the unit? That would clean out remaining algae.

It sounds like you have a air leak on the suction side. I am assuming the pump is operating at full speed. Check for a cracked line especially around fittings. Try cycling the back flush valve as well. I hope that helps.

Considering that this is near a pool and a mistake can kill somebody I would get a qualified electrician and be safe and sure.

It depends on what caused the crack, the rest may be OK but I would guess not. The best solution is to replace or rebuild it.

Try cleaning it well and lubricate with the appropriate grease after you replace the o-ring again.

The pump may be wearing out or the foot valve is leaking baring no leaks in the plumbing.
