How do I do a hard reset on a optoma uhd55 projector.
To perform a hard reset on an Optoma UHD55 projector, you will need to locate the reset button on the projector. This button is typically located on the back of the projector, near the power cord. Press and hold the reset button for at least 10 seconds, or until you see the projector's LED light begin to blink. Release the button and the projector will reset to its default settings.

Your DMD chip or DMD driver need to be checked. The most likely it is DMD. If your projector is new with one year warranty, send it to the company for repairs. They will replace it at no cost.

My projector has a password locked but I forgot the password. If there is any way to turn it on, please help.

Most of our Optoma Service Menu methods require the use of an original remote, typically you can not do it with just the buttons on the front of the set. If you no longer have your remote or have damaged it, we recommend that you purchase a
Optoma Remote before trying to enter the service menu.
Method 1
- Press simultaneously {UP} & {ENTER} buttons twice.
- Press simultaneously {LEFT} & {ENTER} buttons twice.
- A Service Menu will be displayed
- Then to access the Full Service Menu: Press the {UP}, {LEFT} & {DOWN} buttons once.
- To exit, turn the Projector Off.
Method 2
- Press the {UP} {UP} {LEFT} {LEFT} buttons.
Method 3
- Press the {POWER} {LEFT} {LEFT} {MENU} buttons.
Method 4
- Press simultaneously the {RE-SYNC} {ENTER} {SOURCE} buttons on the Projector.
Method 5
- Press the {POWER} button.
- It will show: "Power Off" or "Picture Mute".
- Then press the {LEFT} button 8 times slowly.
Method 6
- Press {MENU} {6} {1} {9} {MENU} buttons.
- To exit the Service Menu: Press {MENU} {6} {1} {9}

this happens to my hd20 sometimes. just happened on pc through hd20. when i turned it on said 30hz instead of 60hz. so i changed resolution down then back up to 1920x1080 and it is sorted.

Lamp fault
Look at the ballast module. It controls the lamp operation.
