I think the Contacts are saved to the SD card. Try this, remove the SD Card and Battery. Put the SD card into a computer card reader. See if there is data on it. Put the battery in without the SD Card and turn the phone on. See what happens and if the Operating system loads okay. Then power down, put the SD Card back in and book it up again. iF you forgot your password to unlock your phone you can do a hard reset or if you dont want to loose your personal information you can try doing soft reset:
