American harvest jet stream oven stopped working
. .. worked great for a while then it just died, no power to the unit. Took it apart, could not fix it, put it in the closet for years. Then I found out recently it could be the theristor went bad. So dug it out of the closet, jumped a wire across the thermistor to test, and sure nuff, it powered up! So went to Radio Shack and got a replacement part for $1.69, soldered that in, and now the oven is as good as new! When you take apart the jet stream oven, follow the power cord up to the front of oven near the fan unit. You see a small silver component, that is the themistor...also called a thermal fuse. Learn to repair your oven and it will last much longer!
