How to fix Miele W1918 washer drain pump always running unless machine is turned off or unplugged
Does the pump run before any water enters the washer? If so, then you have a problem with the control board or a problem with the pump control.
The more common issue is a siphon. This starts when the water going into the machine gets higher than the end of the discharge hose in your stand pipe or laundry sink. Fixing a siphon is easy - lift the end of the drain hose so that it is higher than the highest water level of the washer. You may need to lengthen the stand pipe. (The maximum height of the stand pipe can be15'; that's maximum height that the pump can push the water.) If you are using a floor drain, then the anti-siphon/air gap system is damaged.
I hope this helps. There are parts available for the Miele W1918 online. You need to enter the serial number of the washer to get the right pump or control board.

Miele G7856 Short Cycle Professional Dishwasher. Occasionally it halts with an error of F1E?
Question edited for a lot more clarity.
I found this
hello
my name is Jon and i am an authorized Miele service technician and I can help you today.
are you sure that you are not misreading the fault or error code?
to my knowledge there is no f 1 E error message, just an f13. which is a water intake fault, heater pressure switch.
if that is the error you are getting, please look at the following link. it is to the error code list for your machine. please perform the steps listed for the f13 error under the remedy.
if the remedy doesn't work
I would replace the heater pressure switch and the water flow system. They are very common parts to break on these machine.
the parts can be order directly through Miele by calling or going online. phone is the best way to contact them i believe. this way you can actually talk to someone who can help you better. the phone number is 1-800-999-1360. or go online to
www.miele.usa.com.
the link for the error codes is below. just highlight the link and right click it with your mouse to open it.

Miele coffee maker fit cover to main dispenser keeps appearing
The error message "fit cover to main dispenser" typically indicates that the cover for the main dispenser (where the coffee beans are stored) is not properly secured. To resolve this issue, make sure that the cover is securely in place and that it is properly aligned with the dispenser. If the problem persists, you may want to consult the user manual or contact Miele customer support for further assistance.
Remove top lid on Miele novotronic 500 washing machine
Removing the top lid on a Miele Novotronic 500 washing machine will depend on the specific model of your machine. However, here are some general steps that may help:
- Unplug the machine from the power supply.
- Locate the release catch or lever on the top of the machine. This may be located on the front or back of the machine, depending on the model.
- Press or push the release catch or lever to release the top lid. It should then be able to be lifted off.
- If you don't find any visible lever or catch, please check the user manual of your washing machine, as some models may have a different mechanism to open the lid.
- If the lid is still not opening, it may be stuck due to a malfunction or an error. In this case, it is recommended to contact the manufacturer or a professional technician for assistance.
It is important to be cautious when handling the top lid of the machine, as it can be heavy and fragile. It is also important to make sure the machine is not running or plugged in before attempting to open the top lid.
No heat when drying
I have a Miele WT2780 where the fan motor stops spinning. This will stop the dryer from working even though the element heats up. The failure of the fan will not blow the air across the heating element and thus into the drum. New motors fitted are around £400 min. I am never going to buy another Miele - mine failed after 6yrs.Another problem is the thermostat can trip. This is a small button inside the machine (TURN OFF MAINS ELECTRIC AND UNPLUG FROM WALL then remove the lid) on the right hand side of the alloy centre channel at the top. It has two wires connected to the switch and in the centre there is a small black button. Press it firmly and it will heat up again. If this keeps tripping then the air duct could be blocked with fluff. This is my next task as mine now trips more frequently so will post back here with instructions.Update 12/10/16 - problem returned so dismantled top of air duct having removed the lid - tight torx screws - inside chamber was full of fluff. Removed and cleaned - all good now!.
