Hi Which model Maxi-Cosi Priori is it? The original Priori was discontinued some time ago and we can no longer support this product for spare parts or repairs. We would advise that this particular seat is replaced. The Priori SPS, PrioriXP and PrioriFix carseats are still part of the current range so can be supported for spare parts and repairs. Hi To determine whether the carseat is a suitable fit you should take the vehicle to an authorised Maxi-Cosi retailer and ask for a carseat fitter trained member of staff to provide a physical fitting prior to purchase.

Hi, You can remove the lumbar support pillow when you feel baby needs more space - its needed for a newborn baby to keep them flatter, but once they need more room (normally around 4 months old) you can remove it. The headhugger should be left in place as long as possible for maximum protection in a side impact - the lumbar support cushion can be removed as demonstrated in the attached image.

Push down hard on the seat, then pull the release.

What model? Did you take it apart to clean it? If so, look towards the back of the owners' manual for instructions. Try using WD-40 to loosen the button.

Hi Emma, To run the test mode you hold in the long thin black button just under the display. Once the sequence starts let go of the button and it will cycle through the different lights and then they will all go out. That's when the test mode has finished. Once this has been done, the base should then register correctly when being fitted into the car with the green / red light indication and noises. If it still does not function as it should, the base needs to come to our engineers for inspection. HiRemove the seat unit from the chassis and turn it upside down. You'll see to black clips in the plastic. Push these toward one another and the plastic seat shell will pop away from the fabric & polystyrene.The fabric is held over the polystyrene sections with a series of elastic loops that hold onto small plastic pegs. Carefully undo them and ease the fabric off the polystyrene sections.The fabric should be handwashed for optimum care maximum 30 degrees.

Hi Deirdre Due to the safety implications of the harness in your carseat being incorrectly fitted we must recommend that you do not attempt to remove or replace the harness yourself. Should you wish to have it replaced you can send the seat to our engineers for inspection and replacement of the harness plus safety checks to confirm that it is working as per specification.

To replace the harness the carseat would need to come in for our engineers to provide replacement and safety checks to ensure product is working as per specification.

Hi Laura, To change the beltpads on the Maxi-Cosi Opal harness the carseat would need to come in for our engineers to remove the shoulder harness section and replace.
