Can i use it to make panko?

Panko are made with a special non-fermented bread that has no crust. You can however make good breadcrumbs with old hard bread and if you want it to be like Panko, pulse it and leave the crumbs coarse. I am a trade chef and use Panko a lot. Panko (???) is a type of flaky bread crumbs used in Japanese cuisine as a crunchy coating for fried foods, such as tonkatsu. Panko is made from bread baked by electrical current, which yields a bread without a crust, and then grinding the bread to create fine slivers of crumb.[1] It has a crisper, airier texture than most types of breading found in Western cuisine and maintains its texture baked or deep fried, resulting in a lighter coating.[2] Outside Japan, its use is becoming more popular in both Asian and non-Asian dishes. It is often used on seafood and is often available in Asian markets, speciality stores, and, increasingly, in many large supermarkets. Panko is produced worldwide, particularly in Asian countries, including Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Thailand, China, and Vietnam.

KitchenAid Artisan mixer accessory port not turning

You probably just need a new Shear Pin. This is just a small steel pin like a nail that goes through the gear and the drive shaft. If the strain on the final drive exceeds specs, the pin shears through and thereby saves damage to the gears and motor. Google make model parts diagram https://www.ereplacementparts.com/kitchenaid-4ksm150psbw0-artisan-tilt-head-stand-mixer-parts-c-114958_114959_115458.html This is one of the Shear Pins. They just call it 'pin, retaining'. https://www.ereplacementparts.com/shear-pin-retaining-pin-p-621981.html ..

Beater hits bowl beater height adjustment screw does not fix problem

Is this a new beater that you just bought? Or is it the same beater you have had? When you adjust the screw, which way are you turning the screw, how much is it hitting the bowl?If the beater is too close to the bowl the adjustment screw should be turned in. If the threads on the screw are loose the screw needs to be replaced.Page 17 and 21 both show how to adjust the head of the mixer so the beater his the bowl correctly. 110v KitchenAid artisan running twice the stir speed.

It's a 110 volt 1200 watt mixer and you are supplying it with 220 volts 500 watts of electricity through the inverter.https://www.walmart.com/ip/110V-Stand-Mixer-1200W-6-Speed-Tilt-Head-Electric-Food-Mixer-Dough-Hook-Mixing-Beater-Whisk-Splash-Guard-4-2QT-Stainless-Steel-Bowl-Red/353191351Now for the odd part, an 'inverter' takes a small number of volts usually 12 volts DC (direct current) and inverts it into 110 volts AC (alternating current) inverting the sine wave at 60 cycles per second..If you have a 220 volts supply and want to power an appliance that is 110 volts, you need a TRANSFORMER not an inverter. You are taking 220 volts AC and transforming it into 110 volts AC. That transformer needs to be able to supply more watts than your appliance. In your case 1,500 to 2,000 watts output. Something like this. My advice, buy a new mixer, sell the old one back home.https://www.amazon.co.uk/MSKJ-Converter-Transformer-220V-110V-Appliances/dp/B07CPNTNDD?th=1..

The top part of my mixer is sitting about 1/4 inch

Get a copy of the Repair Part List for your model at Kitchenaid.com
Download the following Kitchenaid Service Manual:
http://www.kitchenaidparts.be/centers/servicemanual/mixer.pdf

It covers several models including yours.
1. Check/Adjust the Flat Beater to Bowl Clearance:

Turn screw (A) SLIGHTLY counter clockwise (left) to raise the flat

beater or clockwise (right) to lower the flat beater
2. Check the Beater Shaft (Agitator Shaft) making sure the Retaining ring
is flushed with the surface of the Planetary Assembly
Constant Pulling and Removal of the beaters can cause the Agitator shaft to move
3. If the above two still don't solve your problem, follow the service manual
directions to disassemble the Planetary Assembly and check for loose screws

KitchenAid k5a arcing on control board

it was stuck on high speed because the phase control board went out, your fix may not be absolutely 100% and it is now causing an uneven distribution of the electric charge in the mixer and it is arching. My recommendation is to replace the speed control board (black and copper plate) and the phase control board. i bet it fixes the problem as these are the two parts that regulate the electricity in the mixer. Hope that helps. Buy the way if you don't fix the problem and continue to use the mixer you may have to replace the motor eventually as you can cause the armature and stator to short or burn out.

Hobart KitchenAid K5-A. Just replaced the grease and on reassembly, the planetary housing won't line up (vertically) with the pin hole.

Sounds like movement on the shaft. Grab the end of the shaft with grips and pull it towards you. Then put the gear on without pushing it back in. Here is a parts schematic, but lots of parts are obsolete. I could do with one of these myself for making bread! https://www.ereplacementparts.com/kitchenaid-k5a-mixer-parts-c-114958_114959_290214.html ..

How can I Fix my Kitchenaid 6qt 590Watts mixer. It wasnt used for maybe 9months made loud noises for a while i turned it off. Never came back on.

My first inclination, is the noise was the brushes burning out, If you over did it, you may have burned out the motor, then it "is" trash. "If" it is just the brushes, that can be fixed, take it to your local appliance repair guy to have it checked.

My mixer will not lock

Hello Wittwer,

I understand that you are having a problem with your head locking in the down position. This is a common problem when the set screw that holds the latch in place is missing. On the right side of the base up next to where the lock is you will notice a whole that has threads make sure that the set screw is there if not you will need to order a new one. Here is a link to sears parts direct where you can purchase a new set screw they cost $4.62.

KitchenAid Mixer struggling to spin?

Check everything you have done for a mistake, the pin through the planetary, the pin through the fuse gear and the pin in the main shaft that drives the bevel gear. That's the gear that pinion gear on the fuse gear shaft mates with. After that you are left with a fuse gear fault. I am assuming that the motor is turning at normal speeds and not somehow binding up, no reason why it should as motor stays in one piece during gear changing procedure.

KitchenAid K5SS Stand mixer motor runs and attachments spin, but there is barely any torque. You can stop the paddle with your hand.

In the days before electronic speed controls, speed reduction was by a number of series resistors and at low speed there was a lack of torque. Professional mixers overcame the problem by using a multiratio gearbox that wouldn't disgrace a motorcycle or a small car. Electronic speed control allowed speed feedback so when a load is applied and the motor slows, more current would be supplied tending to maintain the speed - not perfect by any means but usually much more efficient than the old system. I don't know the precise details how the system works but I expect that is where the fault is.

Mixer makes a loud ticking or clicking sound at

I don't have a direct answer for you. There are many things which could cause the noise from a beater simply hitting the bowl to internal gear problems. You did not say which model you have so take a look at the two Service Manuals linked below. One of these ought to cover your machine. http://www.kitchenaidparts.eu/documents/pdf/service-manual/classic-svc-manual-new-email-version.pdf http://ep.yimg.com/ty/cdn/mendingshed/kitchenaid6qtservicemanual.pdf

Pro 600 6 quart mixer. Occasionally, why doesn't it turn on?

Before you plug it in, try moving the speed control lever it's full range a few times.

If problem abates, then likely oxidation in the switch or speed contacts (control board).

If problem persists then likely either the control board and/or hall effect sensor will need replaced. This model does not use brushes.

My kitchenaid k5ss mixer malfunctioning after the beater jammed. On an object that fell in the bowl

If the beater isn't turning, it has probably sheared the shear-pin, which is there for that reason to protect the gears and the motor. Easy repair.
