I have a Intel Play
Hi
I looked up for the drivers for your
Intel Play QX3 Microscope on Intel's website. You can check this link
For the time being the driver has not been released for this device.Last driver update was on 8/28/2006 which was before the launch of windows 7.We need to wait for the compatible drivers or use this device on windows XP platform
Thank you
I plug the usb cord of the intel microscope to the
I'm
not sure but there is a much better program to use with your QX3 called
CameraScope, and it's free!. You need to have the QX3 software installed (but not running), it
uses the drivers. You can find CameraScope here
http://www.teacherlink.org/tools/
The download link is at the bottom of the page. It says it's a beta version
but it is the only version they ever made so ignore this. It's an old prog. but
is is better than it Intel one.
It comes with a separate app that turns on the QX3 light. If you'd like to
put a shortcut on your desktop follow the directions below.
- Just go to "C:\Program Files\CameraScope"
- Inside you will find QX3Light.exe
- Right click this, go down to "send to" and select "desktop (create
shortcut)
- Go to your desktop and click QX3 Light... done!
I hope you like this one better, it is much faster loading and doesn't mess
with your screen res.
Jessie
It say it failed the minimum system requirements
Yes you would think that would be fast enough wouldn't you. However it may not. It MUST tell you what that Minimum is? I wonder if maybe it isn't RAM, it's on about? I would contact Intel and ask whats what. OR read the manual for advice. Can you adjust you Processor speed up, via BIOS, exactly what does it need? maybe it needs a 64 bit processor?
Want to use Windows XP operating system, rather
You should be looking for a windows 3.1 emulator, to run 3.1 inside XP, and not for a driver. It's highly unlikely you'll find a driver unless you have a programmer custom make one for you.

Winxp not detect Intel Play Microscope
If you connect any USB device to a pc, it will be recognised only if there are drivers previously installed for the device.
If there is a driver disc with the microscope, install this first or whatever the instructions; if any tell you.
Unknown usb device means it has found your device(in this case your microscope), but it doesn't yet know what it is.
Intel Play QX3+ Microscope
Try a different computer and install the QX3Plus application (for Win 2K-XP). If it works okay, then completely remove (uninstall) it from your Dell 4600 and clean up the registry of unusable strings (try Advanced Registry Optimizer, its a free download). Then do a clean QX3Plus install BEFORE you plug in the USB cable. If the QX3 did not work on a different computer, the QX3 is faulty and maybe you should look at the QX5 as a replacement. The QX3 was discontinued at around the turn of the Century. However, if you are only missing the SPLAT; try locating the green button at the lower left corner of the image screen, it produces drop-down dialog boxes to splat screens. Good Luck!
