INtel Play QX3 microscope 64 bits driver

http://download.cnet.com/Intel-Play-QX3-Microscope/3000-2110_4-104288.html worked for me Win 7 64 bit. You may need to run in compatibility mode. Search for that if that turns out to be the problem.

I bought this microscope at a yard sale and need

Intel keeps the drivers available here. I installed a few years ago on 64 bit Windows 7 and it works fine. I cannot remember for sure but think you may need to run in compatibility mode - cross that bridge when (if) you get to it.http://download.cnet.com/Intel-Play-QX3-Microscope/3000-2110_4-104288.html

Qx3 as a barcode reader

I believe that the QX3 has too much magnification to be used as a barcode reader. It wouldn't be able to image the whole barcode, even at the lowest 10X setting. Try finding an old CueCat instead.
