It is possible for the gas tank vent to plug. To test for this open the gas gap after it stalls. Listen for the vacuum to release as you first crack the cap. If you here the sound it is a certain tell that the tank as the fuel is consumed by the blower is creating a vacuum which intern prohibits the fuel from entering the carburetor. After releasing the vacuum the engine should start and run for several more minutes before repeating the cycle. Each blower has its own solution to allow for venting while minimizing fuel leakage, For your particular machine a specific part is required if you determine that a plugged vent is the root cause. It is possible that the engine is overheating. The root cause would be debris caught in the air passages that allow air to flow around the air cooled cylinder. If the machine gets very hot the heat will travel up past the heat dam gasket and baffle reaching the carburetor. This excessive heat would vapor lock the carburetor stopping the feeding of the fuel into the engine. Close examination to ensure that all air passages are clear of leaves and debris is required. An air hose/vacuum may be helpful if you determine that the passages are blocked. The third possibility would be a spark coil that fails as the engine gets warm. A qualified technician may be required to confirm this failure.

Husqvarna are traditionally 5/8", but some of the newer mowers powered by a Honda engine could be 13/16. You can pickup a 3 pc spark plug wrench set for under $10.

Hi stanw71Before you remove or try to adjust your low and high speed jets you should always count the number of turns it takes to lightly seat the idle mixture screw and high speed needle adjusting screws. Be sure to write the number of turns down on a piece of paper so you will know how many turns from the seated position to open the jets when you go to reinstall them, or if you remove them for cleaning or replacement.If you have aready tried to adjust them then the adjustments below should get it running for you for final adjustment when warm.Normally you will adjust your idle jet to 1/2-3/4 turn open from the bottom seated position.Then you will re-adjust the low speed of the engine when the engine is warm by turning the idle screw in or out till the engine runs smoothly at idle speed, around 1200 RPM.The high speed jet is adjusted to 1 1/2- 1 3/4 open from the bottom seated position, after the engine is warm. Then re-adjusted by turning the High Speed jet adjustment screw in or out till the motor runs smoothly at high speed.Alway use the "lightly seated" method if you have not changed the screw settings.Please take time to rate me Bud

Dirty air filter, dirty fuel system, ie carb, lines, fuel tank. Poor air fuel mixture srew adjustments.

i keep mine on a float charger or even 1 year later it fails do not leave battery just sit or it sulphates bad. you mean the starter motor is dead, and no carburetors do not stop dead stater motors. head lamps must work first. shows the battery may be good and the engine starter used 10x more current that lamps. load test the battery ,see it is BAD. abused the fail every year. abused. (lead/acid class all do that) chargers lie to you , making you think one is smart, no they are not. (unless I designed one)<grin. (a(built in smart load tester) load testing is poof of the pudding. on car and anything on earth with batteries.

That is a good question. It could have been a spark plug. Have someone look at it for you. A fuse that goes bad will not make a noise or a give out a bright light. It could have been a backfire from the exhaust. Will it start? If so, then it was not the spark plug.

Typical settings to get the engine running are 1 1/2 turns both high and low.

Most lawn tractors require brake on and PTO off to enable the starter circuit. Some require operator in seat.

You must troubleshoot the circuit to determine root cause.

What model chainsaw is it? The most common reason is not enough oil in the engine. Oil lubricates but it also has a cooling effect as well. Is your chainsaw 2 stroke or 4 stroke. A 2 stroke engine needs a measured amount of two stroke oil added to the fuel to prevent problems like this. A 2 stroke will run without the oil in the fuel but it damages the engine if only used that way.

Bad switch?

Check for proper voltage at the starter terminal. If there your starter is bad.

Question edited for clarity, full 'make model (what it is)'. There should be some tensioning adjustment somewhere.
