Husqvarna Garden - Recent Questions, Troubleshooting & Support

On my 724 I adjusted the cable below the lever on the left side, just loosen the 2 nuts and bring the cable either up or down ,cant remember, I had to fool with it a bit to get where I wanted it, have the blower running and in neutral while adjusting and keep trying her in forward and reverse at full throttle to see after you adjust it, I found that if shes faster in reverse when adjusted she slowed down a bit in forward but keep playing with adjustment till I got it where I wanted it, you have to slow it down going and blowing a lot of snow anyway so didnt mind it a little slower in forward but nice to have it faster in reverse

Its very difficult to explain exactly how the cable fits into the carb spindle however the mistake people make is they try to fit the cable into the small hole in the spindle, this is not correct, the cable fits through the back and into the large opening in the spindle

Husqvarna Garden | Answered on Nov 21, 2019

The thing to remember here is the bulb is a purge, not a primer, so it pulls fuel from the carb, into the bulb and pushes it back to the tank, so if you have the pipes round the wrong way you will have problems, there are two pipes on the back of the bulb, a long connection which is the pressure side, so this is connected to the pipe going to the r/h side of the fuel , the short connection on the bulb is the suction side, so this connects to the carb, make sure they are connected up correctly, the tank vents a very reliable and give few problems, let us know how you get on.

The link shows components of the saw.

Three fuel lines...

1. Fuel tank dip tube (fuel filter) to siphon side of primer bulb

2. Primer output to carb in.

3. Fuel return to tank.

Likely you have reversed the primed bulb lines.
Disconnect the line from the primer bulb to the carb. If you have the correct connection from the tank to the primer bulb, fuel will spurt out the bulb as you press the bulb

If no fuel, move the line at the primer bulb to the other primer connection. Press primer bulb a few times and fuel should spurt out bulb.

If still no fuel then a problem with the fuel tank dip tube or plugged filter

Dirty air filter, dirty fuel system, ie carb, lines, fuel tank. Poor air fuel mixture srew adjustments.
