Viva bottom loading water cooler does not dispense water

Brett 42 said: the water line is froze.. I took a hair dryer and applied it directly to the dispenser for about 10 minutes. I then held down the buttton for approximately 30 seconds and the water began to drip extremely slowly then faster until a small chunk of ice shot out of the dispenser. I believe the reason this happened was that I the temp of my freezer set lower than the fatory setting.
Mike Smith said: "1) remove the tubing connector behind refrig kickplate . Press for water . If no water comes from tube under refrig , then possibly frozen tank but probably not . Probably bad water inlet valve . ( tank is in the lower potrion of the refrig section behind the crispers ) .
2) if water does shoot out , then your freezer door is frozen which requires leaving door open and tapeing light switch closed and tape plastic around freezer section opening so fridge will continue to operate normally . Thawing freezer door could take a day or 2 . 3) You can plug the hoses back togather and walk by occasionally pressing water untill comes out . Lower your freezer temperature setting also ( could be set for too cold)"
I hope this helps you out!
Cooler was working fine until i transported the unit, now it does not get cold at all
By any chance did you tip it over? If so, it might be "spoiled ", perhaps not.
If you tip one over, it must sit upright for 24 hours (without being plugged in or started) to allow the oil to return to the correct position in the refrigeration tubing.
If this is not done, the oil can "kill " the compressor.
Try to turn it upright and leave it for a 24 hour period, then plug it in and see if it is OK or not.
God bless your efforts.
I need a manual for my cooler and can not find one.
I suggest looking where you last had it in your hands. If that does not work, try asking your friends to come over for a mystery treasure hunt, pour them all several drinks and then tell them what they are looking for and that it could be anywhere in your house.
How I add freon to my water dispenser
Many of these machines, as well as some compact refrigerators, have completely sealed systems that do not have recharge ports available. This is to save money in manufacturing, as well as the fact the for the price of a service call you can probably get a new one. If your unit does not have a charge port, the service tech will need to install one. That requires him to pierce the system, recover the refrigerant, install the port, and recharge the system. It is not a DIY job. If you are certain that the problem is low refrigerant, then you're best option is get a new one.
How do i change the spigots
The one I made a change, it was like a rubber cork that you just pull out and a push new one in.
Hope this helps.
HOT water dispenser will not work! Trickles water have tried to clean several times please advise!
Is there a filter between supply and the Hot water heater? The heater may be similar to Coffey pots. a small tube. I would try to
deliver vinegar to the water supply before the heater a good long soak may help. It may also be a problem with the dispenser valve, depending on where it is and whether its manual or electrical. It may be blocked. Hopefully, the vinegar might clean. Otherwise. if manual try to disassemble inspect find the problem. It may need a replacement rubber seat kind of like old faucets. If it's electrical, there may be a problem with the connection, but most likely it will be similar to dishwasher or chloths washer valves. and need to be replaced with a complete module. Its possible there is a fine protective screen at the entrance from supply to electric valve. If plugged the screen should be able to be removed and cleaned.
Hope this helps and good luck.
How do I get the cold water colder?
he most common cause of water not coming out cold is filling a large pitcher or container with cold water. Once filled, the new water that enters the reservoir needs around 20 minutes to reach its desired temperature. Try another cup again after that time.
If still not cold, make sure the outlet that the unit is plugged into is working properly.
If still not cold, there may be a problem with the compressor and the unit will need to be replaced.
