I cannot dispense water from the cold water/fan runs all the time

first of what temperature are you running is the refrigerator and also what is the ambient temp? whats happeneing is that the water resevour is freezing in the back of the refrigerator . So if the temperature is say 34 iit can actually be a lot colder in the regfriigerator than that due to temperature averaging. Thanks fpor using Fixya and Merry Christmas

Hamilton beach water coller

hello chattie wm,
Welcome

You said, the hot water side stop working,no hot water

This is usually one of five things.
  1. Check that the power is on at the breaker and the cooler has the proper light lit up that shows you it is on.
  2. If you have had it a while, (year or more) it may be that the heating element is covered
with minerals from the water which if it's hard water can happen too!

3.The heating element may be bad and need to be replaced.

4.The thermostat may be bad.

a.How old is it ?
b. What did it cost to buy?

You do not want to spend more than half what you payed for it to repair it!
Let me know how it goes and what you decide.

Thank you for using fixya,
Huum....Please remember to leave a rating!

Hamilton beach water cooler is not cooling

Sounds like the fans have stoped turning for the cooling system. If you cannot hear the fans turn on when you flip the COOL switch this is your problem. Pick the fans up at a computer parts store like Frys. Any other part failure on this unit other than a loose wire is not worth repairing. A little oil inside the motor and several revolutions later might get some relief until a new motor is installed.

you need to purge the air out of the "hot" side after placing the bottle on top. If not enough water is inside the chamber the water will boil.

Not cooling

First check to see if compressor is running. If compressor is running and no cool, then you might have a loss of freon in the system. If it's not running, it might be electrical or a sensor telling it not to turn on. Let it sit unplugged for an hour to see if it can reset.

Grease most likely dried up on one cooling motor. If the motor hasn't burned up, you can try to re-oil the motor. Sometimes they have an oil slot on back, then spin by hand until it becomes free. Be careful not to get your hand caught in the blade when running.
Good Luck and Hope you fix it!

My hamilton beach Top cooling Water Dispenser Model Number Tl-1-2 is not cooling water a few hours ago The motor is constantly working, however, the blue light not switched off Please advise

A few troubleshooting steps you could try: Check the Power: Ensure that the unit is properly plugged in and the circuit breaker hasn't tripped. Check the Cold Switch: There should be a cold switch on the back of the unit. Make sure it's in the ON position. Temperature Limiter: It's possible that the temperature limiter may have tripped. You can try setting the hot and cold power switches to the OFF position, wait five minutes, then set the switches to the ON position. Wait 30 minutes for the water to heat or cool. . Mineral Build-up: If the dispenser has been used for a long time, there might be a mineral build-up in the tank that could be clogging it3. You might need to clean the dispenser to remove these deposits. If none of these steps work, it might be best to contact Hamilton Beach customer service for further assistance

I have White particles coming out of my 5 gallon water cooler. I cleaned the cooler with the manufacturer's (Avalon) cleaning kit but the particles are still there

You may have spotted white and black flakes in water in the past. White flakes are created by mineral deposits from hard water, whereas black ones are caused by mold that develops in your water dispenser.

My hamilton beach water cooler is not dispensing any water. Model BL-5-2

There are multiple possible causes. Check pages 12-14 (PDF pages 13-15) in the manual: https://useandcares.hamiltonbeach.com/files/840178600.pdf Note: if you hear the refrigerator unit running or feel heat at the hot water tank, you have power. Not listed in the troubleshooting guide in the manual: pump or valve unit failure. I don't see anything on venting for the water bottle either, so in addition to the steps in the manual, do a check of any venting on the bottle attachment assembly for clogging.

Hamilton Beach Bl-1-3 water cooler

You are my 40,000 question that I have answered! You don't get a prize, but I think that is pretty neat Paul :>D I have been here a long time. The manual only says that you have to make sure that cooling is switched on (Page 12). The unit has a 1 year warranty. If it out of warranty, you just need to pick it up and take it to a refrigeration engineer. It may need topping up with refrigerant gas. Consumer Support Questions?
