Hamilton Beach Juicers - Recent Questions, Troubleshooting & Support
The power switch of my hamilton beach juicer is not turning to the on side. It is stiff.
I just had the same problem with my juicer. Here's what I did to solve it. FIRST, UNPLUG IT!. Next, take all the accessory parts off of it. Then, turn the base unit upside down and shake it around a bit. Then put it back on the counter in the regular upright position and start jiggling the power switch back and forth. After I did this, the power switch started moving again.
My machine won't turn on
do you have user's manual with wiring diagram? if not try H.B. If you get one, there is a diode that keeps your machine from frying from over-voltage. Kinda like a fuse, but is not a fuse. If you can check voltage across it, it is not the diode. That is a simple start and the most common problem for not starting.
Hello, and thank you for your time. The juicer was
you have to twist the top round so that the switch is pressed in place so the power can be turned on, from new it takes a few times to get it to click in place this is the safety device so it cannot be turned on by mistake.

Juicer stopped working
It sounds like a warranty issue if you bought it new. I checked the internet and this seems to be a budget juicer. I had the Jack La Lane model and fortunately the base unit (motor) was replaceable, however I concluded it was such because it wasn't heavy duty and they made money off it failing after a year. These are my personal feelings that you should look at a better model and of course you will pay more for the quality.

The solution i have found is relatively simple, but going to take a bit of handy work.first, it would greatly help to remove the bottom from the unit. You will need to remove the 4 rubber pads, and then the 4 screws. 2 of the screws are way up there and need a thin philips. Regardless if you removed the bottom, you will need to drill a hole right in the center of that circular grill on the bottom piece. If you did NOT remove the bottom piece, I would take a nail, clamp it with vice grips, get it red red hot off the burner, and burn away that center plaster to create a hole. So whether you drilled the hole (with the bottom removed) or burned the hole (with the bottom intact), you will see the bottom of the motor has a slot head. Now, all you need to do is take a thin blade screwdriver, or thin butter knife into that slot, holds the motor, then twist the blade right off...or on...whichever the case may be.Hope this helps...sure helped me!

As soon as I had described the problem I found the solution. A smear of olive oil around the inside of the base of the cutter, and around the seating of it, on the unit. And it worked. No problem.
