How do I remove temp control panel on a GE GDS18SBP
You must carry out the following procedures in order to remove the temperature control panel from a GE GDS18SBP refrigerator:
Find the refrigerator's temperature control panel. Usually, it is near the top of the interior of the refrigerator compartment.
The clips or screws holding the control panel in place should be removed. The back of the control panel is normally where these screws or clips are positioned.
Carefully pull the control panel away from the refrigerator, being careful not to damage any wires or connectors.
Once the control panel is removed, you should be able to access the defrost timer. The defrost timer is a small device that controls the defrost cycle of the refrigerator. It is typically located near the compressor or the evaporator coils.
To change the defrost timer, you will need to remove the screws or clips that hold it in place, and then carefully disconnect any wires or connectors.
Replace the old defrost timer with a new one, making sure to connect any wires or connectors correctly.
Reinstall the control panel, making sure to secure it in place with the screws or clips.
Once the control panel is reinstalled, turn the refrigerator back on and test the temperature control to make sure it is working properly.

Sounds like heavy breathing
The # 5 thermistor , pt # WR55X10025, located at the bottom of the freezer , slightly in front of the drain , with 2 white wires going to it , slid into a housing . This thermistor , is the freezer thermistor , which tells the control board , the freezer temp , when to cycle off , and is associated with the fan speed . GE Side By Side Temp Won't Reset
If you have tried resetting the temperature settings to the default values and the temperature remains at -9°F in the fridge and 37°F in the freezer, there could be an issue with the fridge's cooling system. Here are some additional things to check:
1. Make sure the fridge is receiving power. Check to see if the fridge is plugged in and that the outlet is functioning properly.
2. Check the temperature control board. The temperature control board is responsible for regulating the temperature in the fridge. If it is faulty, it can cause the temperature to remain at a fixed, incorrect value.
3. Check the condenser coils. If the condenser coils are dirty or obstructed, it can cause the cooling system to malfunction and result in incorrect temperatures.
4. Check the door gasket. If the door gasket is damaged or not sealing properly, it can cause the temperature inside the fridge to become too warm.
If none of these solutions fix the issue, it is possible that there is a problem with the fridge's cooling system. In this case, it is recommended to contact a professional appliance repair service for further assistance.
Regarding the ice maker working intermittently, this could be caused by a variety of factors such as low water pressure, a faulty water inlet valve, or a problem with the ice maker itself. It is recommended to troubleshoot these issues separately.
New GE GNE27JYMFS refrigerator revs every 10 seconds or so
Hi,
Please ensure that the door is properly closed and that there are no leaks. You can also ensure that the temperatures are no colder than is required to cool or freeze your food as a very low temperature would require more work/energy from the fridge. Lastly, you can power cycle the fridge once and if it continues with the issue, you can return it.
Thank you.
I have a GE ZDB24A under counter wine cooler that
check the door seal, make sure that its not ripped or dirty. Its possible that moisture is entering the wine cooler thru the door gasket. Frost is normally the result of warm moisture mixing with cold air. The door gasket should be the problem. if you thoroughly examine and its fine, let me know and we'll go to the next step.
GE Monogram Refrigerator Leaks Water
The defrost drain would be causing the fridge to have water leaking out of it and you will need to also clean the defrosting drain as well or need to replace it.
GE model GSL25JFPD freezer stoope working. Can anyone help?
Hi,
please make sure that temperature controls are set to the temperature that you want. Then, you'll want to double check that the power outlets that the freezer is plugged into still give out power by testing other appliances on them.
If the outlets don't work, then you would want to check the corresponding fuse in your fusebox because it might have switched off and just needs to be switched back.
Thank you.
GE refrigerator Model GTS18FBSARWW Don't
The condenser coil is located underneath the refrigerator on most models. YOu can access it from the front, or in some cases, in the rear. To access it from the rear, after pulling it away from the wall, you will have to remove the machine compartment cover screws and the cover itself. If it is the type i believe it is, it is called a no-clean condenser, but they still need occasional cleaning. It will be a barrel shaped condenser on the right side of the machine compartment. A good
refrigerator tip for anyone looking to clean the condenser is to make sure you turn the fridge off or unplug before cleaning it.
