E 64 code on a Frigidaire affinity dryer, but still getting heat. What could be the problem?

that has three sets of coils in it,one of them is bad this is most likely why you still have heat,i've seen it a few times, change out the heater box,go here and look at the last picture, you'll see the three sets of coils one of them is broken, just order your heater box for your model number off of your dryer.change out the heater box https://www.appliancezone.net/134792700-frigidaire-dryer-heating-element-replacement/?gclid=Cj0KCQiAvrfSBRC2ARIsAFumcm_UzfGwntvtSVc9IDruzrS145S-0pcaF2W7iBwEOgT2y1r4boAgEPAaAoi4EALw_wcB

Kenmore model 84152/94152, 8 years old, started

that isn't a model number and kenmore doesn't make anything so you have to send the full model number off of the dryer, open the door look around the opening where you put the clothes in and send the model number,if it's beeping and starting on it's own it sounds like you have a computer board problem with it but can't help you without the model number.

Frigidaire Affinity dryer error code?

you have a problem with the heat you can't just say it's the element or thermistor you have to unplug it,take it apart and get in there with a meter and check all the t-stats,element thermistor,if they check good you could have a bad computer board but hopefully it will be the element but if you just bought it the dryer is still under warranty for the first year so either call whoever you bought it from or the 800 number off of the machine

Frigidaire affinity Dryer wont turn on

see this causes and fix it.God bless you Thermal Fuse The thermal fuse helps to prevent a dryer fire by shutting off power to the dryer if it overheats. If the dryer won't start check this fuse first. Test the thermal fuse with an ohm meter or continuity checker. This is the most common part to fail when the dryer won't start. Once the thermal fuse has blown, it has to be replaced. It can not be reset. Start Switch The start switch is on the dryer control panel. Depending on the model, either press a button or turn a dial to start the dryer. If the start switch fails the dryer won't start or make any noise. Test the switch with an ohm meter or continuity checker. If the dryer hums when the start switch is activated, or if the motor runs only while activating the start switch, the motor might be defective or something might be binding the drum preventing it from turning freely. If the dryer start switch does not have continuity when it is activated, it will need to be replaced. Door Switch The door switch is located near the dryer door and is activated when the door is closed. If the door switch fails, the dryer won't start at all. Many types of door switch will make an audible click when they are activated. If the door switch makes a clicking sound when activated it is probably not defective. If it doesn't make a click, it can be checked with an ohm meter or continuity checker. The door switch is relatively easy to replace and is usually not very expensive. Drive Motor The dryer drive motor turns the drum and the blower wheel to exhaust the air. If the dryer won't start the motor might be defective. Before replacing the motor, check the thermal fuse, start switch and door switch because all three are more likely the cause. If the dryer won't start and the dryer motor makes a humming noise there might be something caught in the blower wheel, or the drum might be binding. Try removing the belt from the motor and checking the blower wheel for obstructions. The dryer motor can't be tested easily. If the more common components have been checked and it seems the motor itself is defective, it will need to be replaced. It is not serviceable. Drive Belt On most dryers, if the drive belt breaks the motor can still be heard and it will still be blowing air out the exhaust tube, but the drum will not spin. However, in some dryers when the drive belt breaks the tension pulley arm trips a switch which shuts off power to the entire dryer. If the dryer won't start, check to see if the belt is broken. If it is, replace the belt and the dryer should be fine. If the belt is not broken, check the other components that can fail when the dryer won't start. Thermal Cut Out Fuse Kit Most dryers have several temperature control devices such as a thermal fuse, thermal cut out, high limit fuse or high limit thermostat. Some manufacturers sell the thermal fuse and thermal cut out in a kit. These kits normally solve no-heat problems rather than when the dryer won't start. However, in some models, this kit will solve both problems. Even though this is not the most common part to fail if the dryer won't start, both can be checked using an ohm meter or continuity checker. If they have continuity they are good. If not, they should be replaced. Incoming Power Problem If the dryer won't start, check to certain there is electricity to the dryer. For a gas dryer, unplug the dryer from the wall and plug something else into the outlet to see if it's working. For an electric dryer, check the home circuit breaker or fuses. If they are working, check the outlet where the dryer plugs in with a volt meter. There should be between 208 and 240 volts. If there is power to the dryer, check the more common items in this troubleshooting guide. Belt Switch If the dryer won't start, there might be a belt switch that has failed. This is not a common problem and most dryers do not have this switch. If the dryer has a belt switch, the switch shuts off power to the entire dryer if the belt breaks. It is possible that this switch has failed, even if the belt is not broken. It can be checked with an ohm meter or continuity checker. If the dryer works at all, even if all it does is hum, this is not the problem. Main Control Board The main control board is normally not at fault when the dryer won't start. First, check all of the other components in this troubleshooting guide before replacing the main control board. The main control board can not be tested and must be replaced if it is defective. If there are obvious signs of burning or a shorted out component on the board, it should be replaced. Timer The timer is normally not at fault when the dryer won't start. In many situations where timers are replaced they end up being returned. First, check all of the more common components in this troubleshooting guide before replacing the timer. If the dryer won't start, the cause is much more likely to be a thermal fuse or switch. The timer can not be tested, it must be replaced if it is defective. 9_29_2012_1_04_04_pm.gif

Felt liner on right front

It actually sounds like you have another problem that is causing this one. When you remove the front to access the felt gasket check the support rollers because you might have one or both that need replacement. I would suggest replacing the felt also and yes it does require the high temp adhesive.

Frigidaire dryer dryer will not run starts for 5sec then stops

frigidaire dryers have alot of problems with the control board,if it starts then fuses are good or it wouldn't run, does it start right up again?if so you have a bad board,if it doesn't start right up again the motor most likely is bad,any error codes?you could have a bad or broken wire somewhere in the dryer but like i said, they have alot of board issues, next time send the model number,if you know where the board is open up the dryer, unplug it first, then when you find the board plug the dryer back in and start it,when it stalls try tapping on the board,it might start again,if not unplug the dryer and look at the board to see if there's any burn marks on it or a bad soldier joint, also it might have a burnt smell to it.

My dryer suddenly stopped drying today. It just blows cold air. Before I took notice of all the lint in dryer, I took the heating element coil out which doesn't look damaged.

The lint MAY have caused a thermal limit fuse to blow out. If that is the case then it has to be replaced. There is also a chance that the heater element has failed and as you saw it is like a light bulb coil. You need to inspect it very closely if you don't have an ohm meter to test it for continuity. Clothing gets caught on lint trap

If your dryer is new, it will have warranty a on it. Request a home visit from an authorized technician at no charge to diagnose/document your issue. Due to fabric damage, once the cause is determined and corrected, contact the manufacturer for a possible compensation for the damaged items. Take pictures and provide receipts. Frigidaire #FSE748GFS1 is tumbling fine, but feels (& Smells) Way Too Hot! Over-heating is what lead me to fixing a broken heating coil, so I assumed fixing it would solve the over-heating.

Sounds like a stuck thermostat or sensor. Be VERY careful with this because it could burn-up. For safety reasons I suggest trash it and buy a new one.

Error code pau on model

Hi

During normal operation dryer may come up with PAU error code, PAU means "Cycle has been interupted". This cycle interuption may be due to power glitch/power failure or due to an error code. Please check if there are any other error codes displayed with PAU as well. Unplug the dryer from power outlet and start after 10 minutes, check if any other error appears. To perform the "Function Test Mode": Press and hold the START and CANCEL button at the same time for 10 seconds. The stuck key should blink. If no other error codes are displayed then there is nothing wrong with the dryer. Hope this helps... Please post back if you need more information.

Good Afternoon Friend, I understand that your Frigidaire Affinity dryer, model# FASE7073NW, will not start and just beeps.
