if pressing the cancel button doesn't get rid of the power failure error "PF" then you have a bad control board. frigidaire dryers have problems with the computer boards,i've seen the affinity dryer start by itself,it will start to beep and then i can start up,but that error is telling you one of the buttons are stuck,if all the buttons check good you have a bad computer board.hope this helps you out.

check the vent.

IF you have an uneven load this can happen, If the dryer has shifted in position and is no longer LEVEL or the feet have changed their distance leaving a gap or open space. The dryer can also move from vibration and be leaning against a wall or the washer next to it. Check that first, and if none of the above, then the drum may be misaligned. A belt could stretch. The shaft of the drum fits into a connecting part that may be worn and out of round or bearings are worn.

Consensus is that E61 is a heater fault, in which case nowt to do with the board, but likely an open circuit in the heater element. Easy to check with an ohm-meter. Board diagnostics are correctly saying "I've been on for a few minutes but detect no heating..BAD". Keep the old board - it's likely fine.

Not 100% but there should be a way to reset computer using the controls on the dryer. If you have the manual it should be in there or contact the manufacture you could get lucky they may tell you. Regards Craig

these dryers have alot of board problems i've seen them beep and then start up by themselves gotta love frigidaire,the computer board took the place of the timer so if the dryer didn't advance to off and got stuck in the same spot you knew it was the timer,so if it doesn't count down and beeps it sounds like a board issue and sometimes the board can't read itself out and you won't get a code.try unplugging it for like 5 to 10 minutes and then plug it back in to see if it resets the board but it probably will go back to doing the same thing

Hi, "LOC" indicates that the control panel settings are locked. Press the SELECT and OPTION button simultaneously to toggle this 'feature' on or off. Hope this helps.

does it start back up or do you have to wait before it will start?if you have to wait it sounds like the motor is overheating,if it starts back up right away frigidaire has alot of problems with the computer board,i've seen them making a beeping sound and then start up by themselves.if it's the motor and if you noticed it was taking longer for your clothes to dry the dryer might need to be taken apart and cleaned out,also the vent line,this should be done once a year,another way to tell your vent line is blocked is you might see lint stuck to the bottom of the door when you open it,the dryer can't blow the air out good and the lint will build up on the bottom of the door where the lint filter is,the motor could be bad and will have to be replaced if the dryer doesn't start right back up,also if the board is bad it might not give you a code,without being there this is the best i can tell you.if a t-stat goes bad they are bad and won't work again they're non resettable
