When you answer a question on FixYa it is removed from the Unsolved Queue, meaning that asker is much less likely to receive a second opinion. I found fixya categories wouldn't load on either my iPad or on Safari on my Mac which prevented me from posting a tip. To solve this once you are logged in to the website:

• Go to Browse Categories at the top, then click on the category you would like to use so that you go into the category to view items
• Go back to posting a new tip (eg click the fixya logo at the top, then click on the add a tip button)

You will see that the category you selected when browsing is the default for the tip, so you can create and then post the tip.
