HOW TO REPAIR A LEAKY INSINKERATOR HOT WATER
What if you back the temp down to say 165 or so would that not keep the plastic from frying?
Also does that model not sit ambient until hot water is needed and is not "hot" 24/7/365 as you
stated? Just wondering.
Hi, my insinkerator hot water
My unit is 3 1.2 tears old. It started to delay the flowing of hot water. Today I held the lever down until hot water came out but I noticed water leaking from inside the unit. I figured that the tank failed, and since it was over 3 years old I decided to open it up. What I found was that there is a plastic tube at the top of the unit that was very discolored and brittle which developed a crack. when I touched it it completely severed. I called the Insinkerator hotline at 1800-558-5700 and they told me that opening the unit voids the warranty. I said that it appears to be out of warranty and I needed just the plastic tube for repair. The per on on the phone said that as a one time courtesy that a new unit would be shipped to me free of charge and that I could install it myself or they will have a tech do it. I opted to do it myself. Hope this helps

Water Heater Repair
If steam or excessively hot water shoots out of faucets, or you hear boilding sounds inside the hot water heater, the appliance may not be shutting off at its set temperature. The job of the temperature- pressure (TP) relief valve is to release excessive pressure from steam buildup, but this valve may have been improperly installed, or it may be faulty. Either way, this condition can be dangerous, both because hot water and steam can scald people and because enough pressure could build up to rupture the water heater. Immediately turn down the water heater’s temperature setting and allow the water to cool.
Disposal will not turn off
You note a ISE 152 Point-of-use Water heater then tell us the Runs all time.
Perchance did we wire them together when installing?
Find an electrician that knows what they are doing to correct this. Cross wiring indicates a lack of knowledge or skill sufficient to do job and protect life and property.

Insinkerator hot water heater takes a long time to dispense water
It may have mineral deposit buildup on the inside. You will need to consult your maintenance manual to see how to flush the unit and clear it of deposits. You can also contact Insinkerator for the information as well. You can use vinegar to clean it just like you would a coffee pot. Take the inlet supply off and using a funnel pour the vinegar in and turn the unit on.

How to unistall franke mythos mtx taps
Turn off the water supply from the heater and at the main water supply line outside. place a container under the sink where the flick mixer is mounted to catch the water that will come out of the lines when you undo the fittings.
there should be 2 flexible braided lines coming from the mixer to the water supply lines, undo both fittings from those lines, then undo the brass nut that fastens the mixer to the sink, you may need a 10 or 12mm socket with an extension bar to get up under the sink to be able to undo the nut.
there should be a metal horseshoe shaped retaining plate that holds the mixer to the sink which should come off when the nut is undone.
You may or may not have to remove the flexible lines from the mixer which you should be able to sort out when you get to that point.
I hope this info helps you with your problem, the info may not be exactly how I have explained but that is how most mixers are fitted or removed.
