Error Message 103
I think it maybe because you haven't installed the "Driver" either at all, or properly. Uninstall any/all software. Reboot, DO NOT plug in unit. now, re-install the Software and Driver. Reboot, NOW plug in the unit, it should now be detected, and work.
You don't say what OS you are using? If Vista or Win 7, try installing as Administrator and also set Compatibility Mode for XP SP2 and run the main .exe as Administrator too.
Is there new drivers
i didi not solve this, nor did i expect to have to buy into some think tank for this problem. winkered again,

The white list black list gives me the impression that this is something on your network that is not allowing it to work. My school has a white list black list system for websites. Have you tried installing the qx5 on an freestanding computer to see if that works ok?
Error message: qx5 not connected, please plug in usb.
Email Digital Blue and they will ask for your email address and shipping address. Looks like they're starting to send out the Vista version on cd via the mail, then make it available online for download later. Best of luck!
Microscope not working after purchase
I received your proposal to sign up for assistance but... since I brought and believed in you product, why don't you tell me how to make it work? I'm bummed out with you guyz!
Qx5 microscope is shutting down.
Does this device run from USB power.. (no plug in power supply) if so, the problem may just be that this device (not limited to microscopes) is trying to draw too much power, as not all USB ports are born equal (a common problem in laptops).
the solution is to either buy a power supply for the microscope or get a "powered" USB hub (a usb hub with it's own plug top power supply)
I hope this helps
Digital blue time lapse
Depending on the model of your USB, (1.1 or 2.0) it may or may not time out. With a 2.0 speed USB it will not typically tome out until about 30 hours of very high activity use. A 1.1, on the other hand can get to do that a lot. If your USB is a 2.0 get a computer expert to check that it is not malfunctioning. If it is a 1.1, I would suggest getting a USB upgrade.
