There are many factors to be aware of. One of witch is, will the charger accept the male portion of the power sport. The contact points must align perfectly with one another. The power ratios must be exactly alike with the power charger and the sport spot. If not, you could have mismatch and blow the entire floodlight system. With DC applications, low level power usually is of little consequence unless the amperage is excessive and then you have s problem. You make the call.

If you've given it a lot of use the brushes may need to be replaced (sometimes they can be adjusted). The switch may be bad, or....pardon me but, is it plugged into a 'live' outlet? Either plug something else in or check the breakers.

Definitely a defective charger unfortunately, I'd contact their customer services department for assistance in a replacement either by its warrantee or if this has expired I'd ask how much they will charge but look around ie Amazon etc to see if you can purchase a genuine one slightly cheaper, I do hope this helps

Did you try oil or other type of lubrication under the bezel? Hammer drills make a lot of dust.

Dewalt only makes wiring diagrams available to their authorized service centers. You can try calling Dewalt and see if they can fax you one or call the authorized service center near you and they "may" give it to you.

you need to have the battery tested the neon light takes a minimal amount of current ( where as the motor takes the full amount of amps/ volts ) this does not tell you the condition of the battery

It is not repairable. A new one is about $70.00. How married are you to that tool. Unfortunately sometimes it is cheaper to buy a new tool.
