No dial tone phone jack tested ok phone rings

This is caused by a failed wireless signal transmitter in the base station or a failed wireless receiver in the handset, these phones are not repaired unless they are under warranty, so all you can do is replace it, this is the #1 PROBLEM WITH ALL CORDLESS PHONES.

Loud static

Remove the batteries let them discharge over night. Place in chargers for 24 hours. If still static unplug all phones from all jacks. Plug in a phone...a different one from the cordless ones. to make sure the static is not on the line. You can then try to replace the rechargeable batteries or get a new phone.

For unknown reasons, I have a signal like a rotary phone when I dial. This is totally new today. When I press menu/select, all I get is the list of callers.

BRETT DUXBURY gave you an excellent answer... (Except DTFM is really DTMF (Dial Tone MULTI- Frequency (as opposed to MF which the "network" USED to use to signal between central offices )))... GENTLY roll your "CLARITY" over and look FIRST for a "PULSE - TONE" slide switch... Failing to find that the ACTUAL model number is going to be YOUR only FREE advice option. (unless you can locate your OWN owners manual... Try your model number on the internet... (my favorite site here in the USA (lookie here)). ManualsLib Makes it easy to find manuals online Hope this helps... Carnac the Magnificent
