Ouch. Water levels are too high, or drainage away from the house and downspouts is not good. You have a lot of moisture comeing through the foundation wall.

Error code F53 on Miele is a speed sensor fault.
It has detected the drum speed to be wrong at some point and has indicated the problem to you.
Have you tried unplugging it. That will reset the computer.
If it's not coming up again after unplugging it, I'd not worry about it.
If it is coming up every time you use it, then you have either a faulty sensor, motor or pcb.
Miele are extremely secretive with information on their appliances and this makes it hard to diagnose accurately faults on them.

Questions like this make no sense unless you mention the make and the model, plus 'what it is' and what you are trying to do!

Washing machines have a hot and cold feed, and they are colour coded red and blue to match the hoses in most cases.

google

make model manual

They are all online

I suspect the timer (contacts)... new timer is >$200 US. Used eBay $25 up.

Given machines age, repair is a gamble as many more components likely to fail e.g. pump, water inlet solenoid.
