When choosing the right bowling ball, it's important to take into account a number of factors, such as:

  • Weight
Weight is extremely important when it comes to bowling balls. According to this guide, the general weight ratio you should aim for is 10:1. That means for every 10lbs of your body weight your ball should weigh 1lb.

  • Coverstock
The coverstock is the outside finish of the ball. Some coverstocks are made from plastics, but there are also other options such as urethane bowling balls. They all have different properties, so you should choose the one that you think will suit your personal technique.

Aside from the points above, you should also think about hole size, reactive resin, and price. If you want more information about how to choose this guide has quite a lot of information about the different types of balls and should be able to help you better understand the topic.
