Well, you won't be happy about this. This toy has been around since 2013 at least. I find no credible download site offering the user manual though you may find one willing to take your money and credit card info. The toy seems to be popular in the since it appears quickly solf if it pops up on Ebay, is sold out at a distributior site in Australia, and while once sold by ToysRUs, doesn't seem part of WalMart stock. And there is the thought that one could buy the outfit, copy any instructions, and sell the outfit on ebay as NEW and maybe get some of your money back. I can't say how easy that is and it might be a lot of work to end up saying $10 or so after your trouble and lowering the price for ebay sales. Here is the manual. It mentions the battery 4 times but not the type. It would be the one that fits the space in the holder. Likely a CR2032 coin battery or LR43, SR77 watch battery. Try a reset. Press and hold the Power, Ok, and Down (or Up) buttons for about 12 seconds until you see progressing LED lights (red, orange, and green lights) on the bottom followed by "GolfBuddy" message. This reboot will revert the firmware version back to its previous stable version.
