How do i reset a lewis clark luggage lock if i forgot the combination
I did these:
1) Apply continuous pressure on the tip of the long cable as if you were trying to unlock it. Do it softly, pain would block your sensitivity.
2) Turn the first dial (the closest to the long cable) slowly, as many times as you need, until you feel there is one number where the tip feels slightly (hardly noticeable) loose. Stop there.
3) Do the same for the second dial.
4) For the third dial press the tip of the short cable instead, and do the same as in step 2.
5) Very likely it will open, but if it did not, leave the dials in the position you found and start again. If at least one of your dials is correct, detecting differences will be easier.
Hope this helps.
What sort of adaptor is this ? I'm in the uk and
It even came without any plug. It is an universal connector, for most known plugs. Are you sure you did not trow away anything from the box? Are you sure the plug itself is not in the box? hidden in a pice of paper or plastic? It should be a round disk, with the 3 english pins on one side. Please contact the supplier and ask him to send you the missing part, if it really was not in the box.
1997 mercury cougar key stuck in ignition
Need more info, but here goes; Check that the steering wheel is not pushing hard in one direction. By turning the wheel you can take pressure off the key locking mechanism and so turn it to remove it.
IF you can turn the key to the off position and still can not remove it then you may be able to get it out by disconnecting the negative side of the car battery. Maybe... no guarantee though.
Last, you can turn the cars switch off completely and disconnecting the battery did not work then the issue is the lock broke due to too much weight was on the key as it was in the ignition. Many people have several keys on a ring. As time goes by these keys bounce and the weight of this damages the ignition switch. The solution is expensive. The cheapest route is a junkyard and that is still going to be steep.
If you live in a place where cars are not stolen all the time you can put in a hidden or electronic switch between the ignition and the switch. I am not going to try to explain how this is done, but if you know how then the key can stay in the car and will not work unless you know where the hidden switch is. Using electronic methods is better though... but complicated for the average driver to create.
