Error message

I fixed my juicer that had this problem, the problem was the thermal fuse which is located directly on the motor with some plastic covering it. You can replace the fuse or do what I did and just cut off the fuse and attach the two wires together (no more fuse) and my machine now works again :)

Jack Lalanne Power Juicer

The pulp collection receptacle has a tiny clear plastic button on the bottom. If this has broken off (it happens often) the machine won't turn on. The button must be present to depress the safety switch at the bottom of the machine. If everything else is properly assembled and the machine won't turn on, this is probably the cause. Check the bottom of the pulp collection receptacle to see if the button has broken off. (picture #2) If so, replace it with a piece of pasta or a tiny piece of wood. Sounds silly, but it works. The safety switch at the bottom of the machine must be depressed before the machine will run. jack-lalanne-power-juicer-rgzqoe2q2f3mnxiw25vk3yhi-4-2.jpg jack-lalanne-power-juicer-rgzqoe2q2f3mnxiw25vk3yhi-4-4.jpg jack-lalanne-power-juicer-rgzqoe2q2f3mnxiw25vk3yhi-4-7.jpg

Are the recipe book or the owners manual available?

The owner's manual should be available online. Any good juice recipe book will work with this juicer. I've found amazing recipes online and especially at countless Nutritional/ Vegan websites. This type of juicer is a "juice extractor", meaning it doesn't completely liquify all of the pulp like the new Ninja does. Look for recipes that work for a juice extractor.

My juicer leaks under the spout. I can not figure out why. I have checked all the assembly and all the directions. It is only the second time I have used this. My machine is brand new. Any though

The spout, itself is hinged. It has two positions, an upper and a lower position. (Similar to a light switch). Make sure it is in it's lowest position when making juice, otherwise the liquid will collect in the inner bowl and leak out the sides of the juicer. Move the spout to the upper position to temporarily stop the flow of juice, such as when you change glasses or receptacles. Then, put the spout in the lower position to resume the flow of juice.

Juicer heating and pulp is wrapping around blades

Parts from Champion website. You may need a new cutter, sometimes cheaper on ebay.

Cleaning inside the cutter

I've been using my Champion for about 20 years, and have always used a very thin coat of olive oil on the turn shaft before sliding the cutter on. I've also used it before I've used the grain mill, and it has been fine.
If I were you, I think I would get out as much Crisco as I could with a chopstick (or something similar), put in some liquid soap, and some hot water. I would think that would loosen anything that was compressed or stuck. It might take a few times, but that's what I would try....or you could order a new cutter from Champion. I've had to order parts from them in the past, and they have been great.
Hope this helps.....

Cutter is stuck onto shaft, how can I remove it?

First, check to see if there is a set screw in the side of the cutter which screws against the shaft.

If no set screw, a gear puller would probably do the trick. There are many types -- you might luck out and find one which will fit on your first shopping trip.

Problems dismantling champion juicer

It's like a suction is created. I have had this happen. I managed to get mine off with a blunt knife to give a bit of leverage (not ideal I know to put a knife near an expensive piece of equipment but it worked for me) Once you have the blade cutter off I suggest oiling the metal prong that it sits on with something like vegetable oil or olive fairly regularly to avoid this happening again.
