My eurosteam duet does not heat but the steam pump works and spits out water
If your Eurosteam Duet is not heating up and there is no steam being produced despite the water pump functioning properly, it suggests there may be an issue with the heating element or the temperature control system. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:
- Check the power source: Ensure that the iron is plugged into a functioning power outlet and that the power cord is securely connected to the iron. You can try plugging the iron into a different outlet to rule out any issues with the power source.
- Inspect the heating element: The heating element is responsible for generating the heat required for steam production. Over time, it can become damaged or worn out. If you are comfortable with electronics, you can use a multimeter to test the continuity of the heating element. If the heating element is faulty, it may need to be replaced by a qualified technician.
- Clean the iron: Sometimes, mineral deposits or limescale buildup can affect the heating performance of the iron. Try cleaning the iron according to the manufacturer's instructions. This usually involves using a descaling solution or vinegar to remove any mineral deposits from the internal components. Follow the instructions carefully to avoid damaging the iron.
- Check the temperature control system: The temperature control system regulates the heat output of the iron. If it is malfunctioning, it can prevent the iron from reaching the desired temperature. Unfortunately, diagnosing and repairing the temperature control system usually requires professional expertise. Consider contacting the manufacturer's customer support or a professional appliance repair service for assistance.

My Morphy Richards steam generator iron is intermittent with steam.
If your Morphy Richards steam generator iron is experiencing intermittent steam and you suspect a blockage in the hose, here are some steps you can take to address the issue:
- Check the water tank: Ensure that the water tank is filled with clean water and that the water level is adequate. Low water levels can affect steam production. If necessary, refill the water tank.
- Examine the steam settings: Verify that you have selected the appropriate steam settings on your iron. Some models have different steam intensity levels, so make sure you have set it to the desired level.
- Check for blockages in the hose: Disconnect the hose from the iron and inspect it for any visible blockages. Use a long, flexible brush or pipe cleaner to gently clean the inside of the hose and remove any debris or mineral deposits that may be causing the blockage. Ensure that the hose is securely reattached to the iron after cleaning.
- Clean the steam vents: Over time, steam vents on the iron's soleplate can become clogged with mineral deposits or fabric fibers. Use a cotton swab or a soft brush to clean the steam vents, removing any buildup that may be obstructing the steam flow.
- Perform a thorough descaling: While you have already used white vinegar for descaling, it's possible that there are still mineral deposits causing the blockage. Consider using a commercial descaling solution specifically designed for steam irons. Follow the instructions provided by the manufacturer of the descaling solution to effectively remove any scale or deposits that may be affecting steam production.
- Contact customer support: If you have tried the above steps and the issue persists, it may be best to contact Morphy Richards customer support for further assistance. They can provide specific troubleshooting steps or advise on potential repairs or service options.
Remember to always follow the manufacturer's instructions and safety guidelines when cleaning and maintaining your steam generator iron. If you are unsure or uncomfortable with any aspect of the troubleshooting process, it's recommended to seek professional assistance to avoid potential damage or injury.
My tefal keeps tripping elcb in fuse board what could be wrong
Next time it happens and it trips.. use a dry towel to unplug kettle, just in case.
Is the base wet? Check the kettle for cracks. Check the cable. Is it damaged? Try replacing the fuse in the plug. Is the steam that the kettle produces affecting lighting or other electrical items around it? Try moving the kettle to a different location.

The steam is coming out but no pressure when I press the button for the steam to jet out
If you're experiencing an issue where steam is coming out but there's no pressure when you press the button for the steam to jet out, there could be a few possible causes:
- Water level: Check the water level in the steam generator or steam-producing device. If the water level is too low, it can result in insufficient steam pressure. Make sure there is enough water in the device according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- Clogged steam vents: Over time, mineral deposits or debris can accumulate in the steam vents, obstructing the flow of steam. This can prevent the steam from building up pressure. Clean the steam vents thoroughly by following the manufacturer's instructions to ensure proper steam flow.
- Faulty heating element: The heating element is responsible for generating steam. If it is malfunctioning or damaged, it may not produce enough heat to generate adequate pressure. In this case, you may need to have the heating element inspected or replaced by a professional.
- Malfunctioning steam generator: If you're using a steam generator, it's possible that there is an issue with the device itself. Check for any error codes or warning indicators and consult the manufacturer's troubleshooting guide. If the problem persists, contact the manufacturer or a qualified technician for assistance.
- Incorrect settings: Ensure that you have selected the appropriate steam settings

Why wont my oliso iron lift up and down i just got it and is the second time using it?
If your Oliso iron is not lifting up and down properly, there could be a few possible causes:
- The steam function may be on: If the steam function is on, it can prevent the iron from lifting up and down. Make sure the steam function is turned off before attempting to lift the iron.
- The iron may be in "locked" mode: Some Oliso irons have a locking mechanism that keeps the iron in place during storage. If the iron is in locked mode, it will not lift up and down. Look for a switch or button on the iron that releases the lock and allows the iron to move freely.
- There may be debris or a loose object inside the iron: Sometimes, debris or a loose object can get stuck inside the iron and prevent it from lifting up and down. Try shaking the iron gently or turning it upside down to see if anything falls out.
- The iron may be defective: If none of the above solutions work, it's possible that the iron is defective and needs to be replaced. Contact the manufacturer or retailer where you purchased the iron for assistance with a possible refund or exchange.
In any case, it's important to unplug the iron and wait for it to cool down completely before attempting to troubleshoot or repair it.
