The temperature has decreased to below 23 degrees. Try allowing the cooler to reach the surrounding temperature. Question edited for clarity and to add maker. It is either a bad contact on the remote button, a break in the wire to the remote. The motor usually does Up and Down by reversing direction so it sounds like the motor is good. They also have to be at the correct orientation to start locking into position. There is usually a number to call with the instructions if you are really stuck. ..
