Since you had a garment get caught in the door, check the hinges and the door latch and striker. Something could be damaged, bent, loose or deformed. You may be able straighten the part or replace the specific part to get the door to close properly. A problem with the door switch or the wiring is also possible. However, I wouldn't check that the switch is not providing the locked signal to the control board until the door closes with the correct alignment of the latch. Check light wire in ceiling to make sure it didn't come loose.

Check your vent duct or filters for excess lint. Also dryers are protected from incorrect settings and pressing the On button for too long or just briefly. Try a full second.

is there an on/off for the light?

probably clogged vent and/or lent filter. Worth removing top and looking inside as well. May need a good vacuuming out.

to properly clear, diagnose the code and remedy the issue. Code will then clear.

check door for debris or blockage around latch. sounds like door either isn't closing all the way or sensor isn't reading it's closed.

Home Depot sells universal remote systems (transmitter and receiver) for around $30 (in Delaware & Pennsylvania) -- don't know price in Chicago).

I'd just replace it. Hunter may be correct that they are the only source for the receiver, but if you get a new transmitter as well, you don't need their receiver. The labor is the same either way.

Recheck all the connections and verify they are properly connected. There may be a safety switch on the body and that is not properly connected.

Press and hold the End of Cycle Signal button for 3 seconds or until the Control Locked indicator turns off to unlock the control. This button actually has the marking below it that says " Hold for 3 Seconds to Lock/Unlock Control". You have to check the control for any stuck button and unstuck it if the control still cannot be unlocked with the End of Cycle Signal button and unplugging the dryer for at least 15 minutes. Let us know if the problem persists.

Look at the back of the condenser. It has a plastic cover. The plastic at the bottom has most likely become warped preventing the condense being pushed back in to place. How do I know that? because it happened to mine

just ask in the store for the switch that you require
on-off-speed control

when replacing the switch, just replace one matching wire at a time
