Squeaking noise when drawing back Barnett vortex
The four rubber grommets where the string is attached to the limbs need some DRY lubricant. When drawing, the grommets 'slip', and that slip 'plucks' at the string creating the creaks. Keep applying dry graphite to these points and the bow will quiet up nicely.
How do I adjust the draw weight on a barnett vortex lite junior bow
There are two bolts that hold the limbs onto the riser. Tighten them all the way tight or clockwise. This will ensure they are the same. Now you have to turn both bolts equal turns up to no more than 3 turns out. The looser the less weight. Never loosen more than 3 turns.
How to increase draw weight
1. Draw the string on the bow
2. While the bow is drawn, use your finger/thumb to hold the cam in place, so it doesn't move when you let go of the string
3. Let go of the string
4. There are three slots on the cam that you can move the string into, with the V of the slots facing up, the slot on the left is 16 lb, the middle slot is 19.5 lb, the slot on the right is 22 lb. Manually move the string to the slot you want.
5. Grab the string again, in the draw position, so you can let your finger off from holding the cam
6. Repeat the process for other other end of the bow, the other cam
Draw weigth
there are allenhead bolts on each limb that connect them to the handle frame. tighten these bolts evenly (one turn on one side should be matched with one turn on the other) this will increase the draw weight you are pulling
