Breville blender won't turn on. The on light is
FIXED IT - It's the screws on the bottom of the jar assembly, where the blades are attached. There are 4 Torx screws - star-shaped - and when these come loose over time the Blender will start to operate only sometimes. Eventually it will be never.
Tighten these four screws and everything will be fine!

I have a Breville 800BLXL/B blender that won't power on. When plugged in, the power button will not illuminate.
Its speed regulator electronic circuit inside is faulty. There is a control circuit to determine the time and speed of the blender. It will contain a pre-programmed IC. This board is nor a repairable one. It should be replaced as card basis. Its one touch pulse only energises. No other speed regulation section does not works, and the IC related to this is faulty. Normaly pre-programmed; otherwise known as {PIC} ICs are programmed by the manufacturing company, and will be difficult to get from outside electronic spare-part market. So you have to contact the Breville service center to get this device repaired.

The power switch lights up
I have the same problem. 4 of the screws underneath are star-shaped and you will need the appropriate screwdriver for it. I purchased a "set" with heaps to choose from. The other 6 or so are normal. Don't forget to remove the rubber feet and get to the screws under there, too.
Hope that helps! I've had mine apart 3 times trying to fix this problem. Hint: It's probably not the power cord - I tried that already. If you figure it out, let me know, because I'd love to fix mine!

Breville blender bbl550 stopps after 5 seconds any setting
Mine does this as well... 5 seconds of operation and then OFF.
My guess is this is a fail safe where the blender is turning itself off to avoid overheating and what could potentially cause this overheating is the blender is struggling to turn the blades. What could cause this struggling of turning the blades I am guessing is a lack of oil in the blades rotating parts.
If you hold the circular blade part and turn it, you'll probably find that its hard to turn? Mine is... and I oiled it up a bit and found I got a bit more usage out of it... although only temporarily.
Ideally I need to pull it apart and oil it properly.

Breville 600XL not turning on
My BBL600XL stopped working because of a blown fuse. You need to remove the phillips and torx head screws out of the bottom. Then remove the base. There you will clearly see a fuse on the circuit board.
It appears to be a 10A 250V fuse.

Blender will not run. the power button is lite but
There is a 10 Amp thermal fuse (SF129E) that is supposed to create an open circuit when the motor windings exceed 133 C degrees. Although this fuse should close again when the motor cools down it can become perminantly damaged. Locate the fuse by following the black leads from the coltrol board to the motor brushes. It's inside a cloth insulating sheath secured against the windings with a metal strap and two ty-raps. I bypassed the fuse with a wire instead of replacing it. It would probably just blow again sooner or later. p.s. you need a T10 Torx screw driver to disassemble (screws under rubber feet) $3 at ACE hardware.
