This Is real simple grab a cable that goes from rca jacks to a headphone jack then plug the rca jacks into the br-1180's audio out jack and then plug the other end into your computers mic port.
Download Audacity From www.Audacity.com and then use it to capture you audio and then you can burn that when complete.
Its real simple I do it all the time even though I have the br-1180cd the cd burner burns real quiet so I don't use it. The cable can be bought at radio shack, best buy, wal-mart and I have even seen them at 99 cent only stores.

To achieve a tone similar to Synyster Gates' A7X sound, you may want to start with the following settings: Green channel:

• Bass: 5-7
• Mid: 2-4
• Treble: 5-7
• Presence: 5-7
• Gain: 7-8

Red channel:

When using the Boss MT-2 pedal, set the tone control to around 12 o'clock and the level to taste. This should give you a good starting point for a heavy metal tone. It's important to note that these settings are just a starting point, and you may need to tweak them to suit your own personal taste, playing style and the room you're playing in. Keep in mind that the MX112 cab will also affect the sound,so you may need to play with the eq settings on the head and the pedal to achieve the sound you are looking for. Also, keep in mind that the sound of the DSL15H head with the MX112 cab will be different than the sound that Synyster Gates gets with his rig. However, the settings above should help you achieve a similar overall tone.

It was probably connected backwards in polarity from a power supply which burnt a diode. These things have backwards polarity of 9v adapters which means positive on the outside of the plug and ground in the middle, unless you have the original boss power supply.If you have a generic power supply, cut the plug off and switch the wires and try it.

This will ensure that the signal won't have any odd hiccups due to an odd pedal setup. But if you play around with different orders, you can end up with some very interested sounds.

Youll Wanna Remove The Disk Drive Cover First Indicated By The Blue Dots. Once Inside There Arent Many Connections To Check But Now You Can Unplug The Hard Drive And Try Powering The Unit On Again. See If You Get The Same Result. Once Thats Done Plug The Hard Drive Back In And Try Again To See If It Works.
If It Doesn't Call Roland Theyre Costumer Support Is Awesome And They Can At least Give You An Idea Of What May Be Wrong.
