Estimado Carlos, Cuando la PC se apaga poco tiempo despues de terla prendido puede ser una senal de sobrecalentamiento del procesador. Si es una PC desktop, puedes verificar si el disipador de calor de aluminio y su ventilador estan colocados correctamente sobre el procesador y si el ventilador esta' funcionando. Si es una laptop, debes verificar si cuando la prendes el ventilador de las rejitas de ventilacion esta' suenando. Un ventilador que este' parado o con baja rotacion puede ser una de las causas del sobrecalentamiento. Pero, en los dos casos, si no es problema del ventilador del procesador, lo que hay que hacer es lo siguiente: 1 - Desarmar la computadora, y sacar el disipador de calor com mucho cuidado de sobre el procesador; 2 - Limpiar bien entre las ranuras del disipador de calor, sacandose todo el polvo y suciedad del mismo ya que el polvo ayuda a mantener el calor y sobrecalentar el procesador; 3 - Limpiar muy bien las rejillas de entrada/salida de aire, sacandose todo el polvo y suciedad, 4 - Rearmar el disipador sobre el procesador, pasando entre ellos una delgada camada de pasta termica plateada, que se puede comprar en tiendas de suminsitros y partes de computadoras (NOTA: no instale el disipador sobre el procesador sin pasar la pasta termica, porque podra' seguir sobrecalentandose); 5 - Rearmar la computadora. Caso usted no tenga facilidad en armar y desarmar la computadora, seria bueno contactarse con un tecnico de su confianza para hacer ese trabajo para usted. !Espero que esa respuesta pueda haberle sido util! we can not guess disks NOR DRIVES, not told DVD_RW disks? or CD-RW diskS learn that there are lots of ways to fail on any ODD ,optical disk drive or disks. let me guess , you burned RW disks on a ODD that does that, (vast MODELS) and the disk works here, reads OK fully. then then pulled the disk out and went to a 2nd PC, ODD. and found out it fails due to:

1. PC is CD only,
2. PC has dvd rom only feature and dvd rw fails sure it will.
3. PC drive is not rated for DVD-RW at all. or any RW of any kind.
4. no PC told, no PC ODD model told..so... impossible to help much.

now how to cheat told next , how to see what the drive can do with out removing the ODD drive fully and reading the top label. some desktops , not all, the ODD tray front tells what it can do. but most OEM makers do not do that.(pc brands) the maGIC APP CALLED HWINFO32 (FREE) RUN IT AND SEE THE DRIVE AND IT TELLS YOU ALL MEDIA IT SUPPORTS. now you know. The card will never work lacking the right driver there. if works or fails. if FAILS i bet the card you put there does not run on you unstated OS. so you waited 14 years to buy and use a wifi card? lots of pitfalls here even using cards that can never work here. many PCs have wifi card black lists and old cards do not run w10 and new cards will not run on XP or vista ever and more but no card told so can not be specific ever.

emails no email providers name told (gmail or what? of 1000s) not told if web mail or email client,? if web mail browser used is , chrome sure. I use thunderbird and all you can see is what is on your screen 1 page at a time or scrolled. show 25 email contents all the same time or just all email titles.. use the scroll bar is he answer. if you had , HDD encryption enabled and old PC is dead there is no access, now. that is the #1 goal of using encryption so others can not steal your data, A#1 GOAL if drive is good it can be erased, but no hdd label presented so I can look at makers site for the methods winlocker is and app on ACER PC, and is now gone. so there is no fix to get data. why not ask winlocker , for help, they may have fix if you know the Password but that is only 1/2 the cure, the key is lost. i fixed my Z3771 by shorting the CMOS/BIOS jumper/s. and it worked. Original Problem: Power supply was ok. But the screen was blank, it wont switch on as well. When a lan cable is inserted into the lan port, the lan port would light and flicker. So the motherboard was getting the power supply. but it wouldnt switch on. So opened the back covers, then the metal plate on the right that covers the RAM, etc. And on the motherboard was the two CMOS/BIOS jumpers. its located on the upper right of the CMOS battery in the image. The power supply was supplying the power to motherboard. i only shorted the one marked with red arrow and the pc beeped. So you just take the jumper out and move it back and place it. then take it out and put it back in the original position, U can leave it for a few seconds before returning to original position. then i pressed the power switch and it beeped and turned on, BIOS was reset. I loaded default BIOS to start the PC. Played up twice during OS loading, but eventually windows came up.

Hi, It sounds like you would need to enter into safe mode and do a system recovery in order to get past this issue. You would need to restart your computer and press the F8 key before the windows logo comes up on the screen. Then, you would need to navigate through advanced options in order to get to the safe mode options. Thank you.
